Flashlight that auto turns on at power failure

Thanks guys, Running out of time, I ended up ordering an Olight Seeker4 Pro. It has their magnetic snap on charging base, It can be mounted on a wall with the included hardware so it will at least be handy if the power goes out. Thanks again for the ideas. TomZ

That looks like a decent light, pricey, but you get what you pay for. Thanks for recommending that... Any other's that I'm missing?

Flashlight that auto turns on at power failure

Hey guys, housewarming gift for a friend... I'd like to get him/her a nice lithium powered LED flashlight that auto powers-on in the event of a power outage. I thought I gifted my niece something like this before, I think it was an Olight with charging cradle, but can't seem to find it...

Olight I3T EOS button getting slow/harder to push...

I wrote Olight via email and mentioned the issue I am having. They replied within a day or so, and they're sending me a new one. They have good customer service. That's refreshing. Tom Zarbo

Olight I3T EOS button getting slow/harder to push...

I have had my Olight I3T EOS flashlight for several years now. I'm a preschool teacher and I need a compact front shirt pocket sized light with decent output and this fits the bill just right. Over the past year or so it has gotten much harder to push the on/off button. Also, when I do push it...

    [Review] Olight I3T EOS

Thanks for the detailed review. I learn every time I'm on this forum. Didn't know what PWM was and did a little digging. I didn't know that the way most lights reduce output is by turning the light on and off, not by reducing voltage overall. I picked up one of these lights recently and really...

New X9 - When will it be available?

So, who bit? I have to admit, I was pretty tempted when I started opening up all the emails from Olight. I held my ground, though. :) TomZ

New X9 - When will it be available?

$450 does seems like a good deal for what you get, even if it's for just one day. I guess I have to consider all the extras... Remember, it's not just the light itself... it's eight (8) 18650 batteries, a fairly expensive (retail) sealed case, a decent sized power brick for fast charging, a car...

New X9 - When will it be available?

$600? OOooofff! Too rich for my blood. :( Oh well, I didn't NEED it anyway, of course. :) Still, can't wait to start reading what you guys think of it once it starts shipping. TomZ

New X9 - When will it be available?

Can you tell us if there have been any changes to the specs as last stated? (Specifically the 25k lumen output) TomZ

New X9 - When will it be available?

I'm pretty sure in one of the videos I heard the Olight demo guy say that it would come with a Pelican-type case. That may have changed, though. TomZ

New X9 - When will it be available?

I see what you mean. That's a BIG drop! .....it's nearly only 1/4 of it's max output. I guess for long term use you'd have to be willing to live with a 'Measley' 12,800 lumens, then you can get 10 minutes out of it before it drops down to 6,400 lumens. That's a pretty dang big light to be...

New X9 - When will it be available?

In light of the fact that several other manufacturers have leapfrogged the output of the X9 since it's initial announcement many months ago.... what are the chances that they 'up' the output a bit from their initial 25k lumens that they stated from the get-go? Didn't they kind of do that...

New X9 - When will it be available?

Thanks a lot for posting that video. Looks like they have it dialed in finally. I wonder for something so powerful if a two button up/down level switch wouldn't be a better way of getting to the setting you want without cycling through lots of in between settings.... or at least cycle up to full...
