Re: SkyRC — IFA 2014 / CES 2016 — MC3000 charger-analyzer
I still have 1.13 firmware. I don't have any LTO cells so is it worth me upgrading to 1.14? As I can't find a changes list I don't know if anything else was added/changed/repaired.
Thank's, yes I have been contacted by the dealer TheNines B&T via Amazon UK. They have suggested I try another battery which I am in the process of doing. I did run tests on the original battery using an MC3000 battery analyser and the battery seems fine. I suspect the torch has turned on in my...
Just a quick update. Left on a table turned off it's going from fully charged to flat within three days. Tried another battery and exactly the same. I have contacted the seller via Amazon, where it was purchased. Just see what they say now.
I like the idea of turning the clip to cover the button, I never thought of that. I am sure the batteries will hold the charge ok, I was thinking more on the lines of the torch itself discharging the battery when not in use.
On both occasions this torch is carried in case I need it and has been...
I have had an Olight S1R Baton for about a month now which I thought would be ideal to keep in a trouser pocket. I keep in in a fabric "The Nines" pouch which came with the torch. From fully charged it seems to only last a week or less even when not used and just sat in my pocket. Has anyone...
My C9000 has been acting up for a while now. I bought it a good few years ago. I also have a MC3000 but mainly use that for analysing and rejuvenating cells. I don't find it as useful for quickly dropping some NiMh cells in to charge as the C9000 was. For my 18650's etc. I have a VP2 as a...
I did see the recipe Ravel and it was very useful. I had worked with Raspberry Pi's a bit but there was still areas I am unfamiliar with. I have SSH'd into them before but was my first attempt at using VNC. I initially tried running it from SSH which didn't work of course.
It was a very...
I have managed to install DEX on a RPi3 after a bit of tinkering and head scratching. I will be accessing it on a Macbook using RealVNC which also seems to work. I saw mention about using the MC3000 USB output to power the RPi. Has this been tried with a RPi 3 as I think the official power...
I had the following reply from the Olight UK distributers.
The reason is that the Turbo S/Turbo mode can not be reached if using other batteries. No other special reasons. I am sorry that I may not explain it very well.
After a bit more digging it appears the protection circuit on most...
I received an Olight H2R yesterday to compliment my other Olight torches. I received an email today from the dealer thanking me for the purchase and reminding me *The battery included is customized. Other batteries can not be used in this torch(because of the different circuit design. It came...
I have an SkyRC MC3000 that gets used for battery analysing and serious work. The MC3000 is a fantastic beast, but is not intuitive for quickly putting something on charge. I have just bought a VP2 for less serious quick charge of Panasonic 18650's and RCR123's. I'm a bit disappointed that the...
It depends what sort of test your doing and the capacities of the cells. But an electronic variable constant current load might be better than a fixed resistor something like this
