Interesting. You can actually see the gap difference in the photos, between the 31 and 34.

Re: 18650 3100/3400 Fitment Guide

I bought 3 x Keeppower 18650 3400mAh batteries: 2 fit my Oveready bored 6P (very tight, needs to be shaken out) and my Oveready bored C2 (tight but can be shaken out easily). The 3d Keeppower 3400 doesn't fit in either host even after removal of the label!

So it seems there is some individual variation within a brand that can be problematic.

Interesting. I can't even fit a 18650 2600mAh cell in my Malkoff hosts. I think it is a re-wrapped AW 2600 cell. None of my CK3100's or KP3400 cells even come close to fitting.

Ampmax 3400 will not fit not fit my Malkoff MD2 (not even close)

It will go in my Oveready bored surefire 6p, but i had to take the head off
to push it back out.
My eagletac 3400 is a tiny thing and fits both easily, but it is more of a concave top
rather than a flat top and does not inspire confidence in it's construction.

My Eagletec is also concave now. Probably pushed in from use in my Spark SD6. :(

Do we know what the exact inside diameter measurement of an Oveready bored tube is?

Re: 18650/3400 Fitment Guide

AW 3400 slides with gravity in and out of my new MD4 I just got in from Malkoff Devices today. Same thing on my Camouflage MD2

in case serial number helps (maybe they revise their stuff?):

MD2 Camo: #2711
MD4 body: #0739

RediLast 3400 does not fit in my MD4 for the most part. I'm not going to force it.

My Orbtronic 18650 3400 fits in my new C2 bored but it gets stuck and I have to remove the bezel and push the top down to get it out. :(

This thread needs to be resurrected and expanded! It already just saved me some money...

My Oveready custom HAIII 6P hosts AW P18650 2900mAh cells pretty well, 2600mAh DOES NOT fit, even w/o the sticker. :(

Its counterintuitive, but 2600 cells are actually larger than 2900/3100/3400 series cells. Having personally hand tested hundreds of AW 2600, a small percentage (under 10) are larger than the rest, to large for use in our thicker tubes. See posts 6 & 7 in this thread for other examples:

Thank you so much for the further infos! :)
I need an "LSD" Li-ion cell and I'm planning to buy an AW 2200mAh cell, do you know if it fits well your 6P bored body?

Wow. That is very odd that a 2600 mAh cell would be larger than a 3100 mAh cell.

I'd go with the IMR 18650/2000, but the 2200 LiCo also works. Most generations of most AW cells fit fine. The 2600 is the exception.

Increasing capacity used to require more volume. I'm unsure about the 2900, but the 3100 and 3400 have sophisticated chemistries that increase capacity without more volume. Like putting a supercharger on a v6 instead of a v8.

Cool. I didn't know that. Thanks for the explanation.

Re: 18650/3400 Fitment Guide

Hello,

I'm a bit late to this one:). I have a Ronac X series body. 3400 mAh Callie's do not fit. Orbtronics do, shaken out easily and no worry of sealing in the tube. Redilasts 3100 and 3400 fit. I honed the body out a bit to fit the Callie's.
