X80 for when throw must take a back seat to absolute most light very close in.

X45vn for some throw, and still lots of close in light, but not the absolute most close in light.

I use my X45vn every night around the neighborhood meeting hall that I manage. My TK75vnQ70 serves in occasional rotation, just to feel its much beloved classiness and fond memories.

That video really illustrated the difference between the two. My preference is the X45vn for its throw. I always was impresses that a flooder could throw so well.
(I own X45vn, not an X80)

What batteries do you guys recommend for this light, and where is the best place to buy them?

I tried viewing the "Recommended protected batteries" page (https://skylumen.com/collections/others/products/acebeam-3100mah-protected-18650) but it's giving me a 404 error.

Would the Acebeam 3100 protected cells be best or is there something better?

Played with it lately. Found out the 3rd level from the 4 main sequence can run 4000 Lumen indefinitely. Thats an incredible feat. I ran mine with the X65 battery pack. Works like a dream. Try it on yours
