AV - This turn of events is disappointing to say the least, but I cannot say that it was unexpected.

I did pay with CC, but it has been more than six months (IIRC I was one of the first 5 or 6 to order). Oh well!

For me, it has never been about the money, but more about the several posts (and PM) from AC indicating that production was in full swing and that "over half" of the orders had shipped (mine included). I completely understand the delay, and am willing to wait. It is the prevarication that offends me. Well at this point I am just preaching so I will shut up.

Good luck to all that ordered.

The Paypal dispute deadline is long past.

If you paid with credit card, or credit card funded Paypal, it is not too late for a chargeback. Check with your issuing bank to see want your deadline is. Soon it will be six months for some people.

I'm not saying anybody should do a chargeback or even that is a good idea. It is a good idea to find out credit card chargeback deadlines. It's helpful to to know all the options, just in case.

I was part of the second 25 that were going to be made after the first batch. Just wondering how many people that are on the forum have actually received their order and order date. Without some communication other than 2nd or 3rd party it is not looking good for the customers.

Per the following statement made by AC on 6-27-07:

"Anyone who has not yet received their 2nd-production run Aviatrix Mod or GlowFob order at the time I post this, you have a choice. You can:

(1) Request a full refund for your purchase price, or
(2) Continue waiting - your order WILL ship after this chaos is over".

Has anyone here who placed an order and requested a refund received one? After reading the most recent posts, it appears that we won't be hearing from AC anytime soon or at all. It sure would be a shame if all of us forumites subsidized his move while patiently waiting for our mods.

FYI: I called AMEX after reading the comments about chargebacks and their policy is for a 60 day period. They said they would make an exception if I wanted to initiate a claim. You all might want to check with your individual companies and see what their policy is and if the above applies on an individual basis.

This situation sure is disappointing.

I've requested a refund twice via his supposed valid contact e-mail. No response. At this point, I'm not holding my breath....

With the AWR syndrome still lingering here you would think people would not only make an effort to act honestly, but also to take extra care and give that impression through the dealings.

At this point all I can say is no matter how good the idea, I wouldn't expect me to pre-pay up front. I truely hope that I proven wrong here, but it has been almost 6 months without a word. I feel it is time for any, and all information, held by anyone, to come to the availability of the members so that we may find a way to resolve this directly.

I paid money, and I can wait. If I had been afforded the courtesy of at least a personal message asking me to.

He probably didn't guess at the time that his introduction of this thread would come back to bite him:

Greetings!

I have a confession... I'm Andrew Wynn!!!

hehe... Just kidding! :)

I didn't ask for a refund, because I was under the impression that he would be settled into his new place by July. It seems that others have asked for refunds and have not received them anyway.

What good does it do to ask for a refund at this point when even the simplest of tasks like (logging in here to update this thread) appears to be 'rocket science'.

At this point i want my money back, regardless if he ever shows back up or not. :(

Wow,

I haven't read this thread since his first post in June.
A damn shame in the way that it has turned out. I almost
ordered one of these as well, glad I didn't. :shakehead

I wish everyone involved the best. :(

He did offer refunds before his move. Those that decided to wait like myself should have know that not everything goes as planned.

Yes, he could get on and tell people what the scoop is, but he has not.

Either make an attempt to contact the man by phone or keep waiting are the only options I see. Complaining is not going to make it happen faster.

You guys should try waiting on a custom holster some time if you think this is bad. :)

Sorry to intrude, but doesn't anyone have his address or phone number? If you have one, you can usually get the other. Someone has to be able to talk with him.

Good luck guys, and sorry 'bout this... we're still trying to deal with the FF3 ordeal, and I hate to see another similar situation. :shakehead

We did not order a holster, and even if we did we could still speak with the rep, or customer service.

Good news! I just received an e-mail a few minutes ago from that ol' Bird.

His move is complete and he's back in production. His only remaining problem is internet access — he's having to use a library computer, and the filtering software it uses is blocking access to CPF. Anyway, here is a quote from his e-mail (reproduced at his request)

That sounds, um... interesting. If it's a school library that's hard to believe as very few things are actually blocked. If it's a public library it's even more hard to believe since they're pretty much wide open porn sites and all. I'm not involved in any of these buys, just that this strikes me funny. :duh2:

Several off topic posts have been removed. Lets make a little more effort to stay on topic and keep it civil.

Thank you
Thank You, and Agreed. I still can't help but wondering if I didn't bump into a hot stove on this deal though.

Although I did get my Aviatrix as part of the first run, I feel for folks, having been burned for several hundred by DSpeck in the FF3 LE fiasco. This reminds me of how DSpeck and awr conduct themselves. It's unfortunate that AC has let things go for so long without any communications, given the great start that he had.

At least we know what to expect in the future, should he return. Whether AC comes through or not, the lack of direct communications means that I won't be ordering any more nor recommending them to others.

I have Bawko's cell phone number. And I'm pretty sure I have his address as well, but I'll check on that.

Since this fiasco began, I have only ever connected with Bawko via email (the bawko(at)hotmail.com account), and all calls to his cell went direct to voice mail.

However, before this fiasco, I did talk with him on the phone several times, and I can assure you that he is NOT Andrew Wynn Rouse, although at this point that joke in the first post is very, very not funny.

I'm going to start investigating this more aggresively. We should probably start a jeers thread. We need to know how many people paid and have still not received either a refund or an Aviatrix.

I would offer my own ring to someone but it is no longer working correctly and needs to be fixed. Unfortunately, with Bawko incommunicado, I haven't bothered; it's just sitting in a drawer.

I note also that all of Atomic_Chicken's pictures are non-functional. Has that been the case since the beginning?

It's been 4 months and a handful of days now since the first post. It's not so much the time that bothers me. It's the total lack of communication. I can't believe that it's that hard for ANYONE to find a way to post to CPF.

Anyway, let me see what I can find out and I'll post back here, or to a jeers thread.

Thanks Jim

This is what I have:

Personal information removed

I'm sure that's his old business address (maybe not!) So we should be able to gather some info from Utah's Secretary of State on that corporation...
