I must have lousy night vision. The low on my Rotaries is just right for me on those night time visits to the head but I wouldn't cry if it was made lower. I'm all for a customizable low locator.
Absolutely, lower low & higher high. LOL
I've always pushed for the lower low and would really like to see both it and the ability to make a selection of beacon brightness as well.I would absolutely love a lower low mode. It would be perfect, when the locator beacon even gets this lower low or better a customizable low for the beacon.
Yes, absolutely!Absolutely, lower low & higher high. LOL
How about using the tactical software... Start at a lower low, have 12 steps to "high" instead of 24 like the regular Rotary, and give us the second half of the rotary travel as a timed turbo mode of, say, 30 seconds before stepping down as the battery saver in programming now allows? You placate the I want more lumens crowd, keep tactical runtime, and have the lower lows... (I'll get my ice now, Hogo...)
Let's face it, nobody really want an 18350. People only say thay want an 18350 because they haven't given the 18500 enough thought.
Let me explain.
An 18500 tube would be right between the 123 and 18650 tube. A perfect size.
With the proper spacer, you could run a CR123, an RCR123, and 18350, and if the elf was packed off and a gnome replaced him, a single AA.
I reject the 18350... unless it is in an 18500 tube with a spacer.
