I've had about 10 HDS, yes. And yes, I had a couple issues which Henry took care of quickly and satisfactorily. So I do understand what you're saying, though I am surprised to hear you say Henry is ignoring you, which is wholely different from most people's experiences. Anyways, my point was simply to be careful with country of origin comparisons, they can spiral quickly.

Hi all,

I ordered an HDS Rotary a month ago when they said the rotary switch was out of stock for about a month. I was just wondering if any other users have ordered a Rotary more than a month ago and are still waiting for theirs. I just want to gauge what kind of wait time I should realistically be expecting.

The HDS thread is huge so it's very difficult to find the info I'm looking for.

Thanks in advanced!

That's a fair point and sorry. I ve had 10 plus HDS lights too, few off center leds, bad cerakote job, but the problems are in the latest lights from 2016. Now the bad tail. Till that's fixed I won't be having any more.
Easiest solution get a clicky but I do prefer the rotary.

I'm in the same boat. Well, I'm hesitant to place my order without knowing the release date, but I'm also waiting for the rotary. I'm afraid I don't have the answer to your question, but my understanding is that there will be a batch of High Noons before any other rotaries are made.

I just received this in. The original owner stated he thought it was a 120 but I have no way of knowing since the sticker isn't inside. It has the old style threads but the tail cap threads on unlike my 170 Golden Dragon.

It wasn't as difficult as some would have you think.

Pricey though.

Here's the business end

If there's nothing it's either a 120, or the colored ring/point was removed :D Is it a GD emitter too?

No it actually looks to be the same emitter that's in my early NovaTac 120P. Although it does have a much more pure white tint to it.

I was lucky enough to receive the original, albeit very ugly, silver clip and hardware as well as a Oveready clip with it.

Hope everyone had a great turkey day.
Was out visiting family for Thanksgiving.

My folks are in their eighties. Going strong.
Gave them each a HDS 250 light for Xmas last year.
I left the settings at factory spec and some 123 primaries..

Was curious how the lights were working out.
Said they use them all the time, mostly for short periods.
They mentioned they couldn't remember all the functions though.

I remember some talk of making these near fool-proof, make all modes the same.
I re-programmed them to A-B-C @ level 22, and the D = triple-click strobe.
Should double the battery life while still being a usable 150ish or so lumens.

-Will see what happens.

...

Brought my 250 V3 XP-G2 Rotary with me. (old snowflake).
Has a Lee #162 pale amber filter which gives it a pleasant 4600k or so temp.
Using a doubled Novatac rubber cap on the head. Reduces outside spill by 1/3.
Roughly a 2 meter wide round beam at 3 meters distance. Plenty for me.
(These V3 lights have a little more of a narrow spot beam than newer versions).
(Super comfortable to hold in big hands).

Here's a cell-phone pic of just the light beam at about 10 ft.
(This is not a Hi-CRI light, I think the XP-G2 is around 73 CRI).
Colors are more than adequate for normal everyday use.
