Whenever I give my snowblower a GOOD ready to go, I figure it is like buying SNOW insurance. It's the years that I don't do anything to it that we get hammered. With this machine, I've been a little better at getting it ready for winter, than I did with my previous machine.
At any rate, thank you for your efforts.
It's the same with our fun car. It always rains after I wash it.

It's rainy, and warmer than normal for January. It's currently 61 degrees, which is 16 degrees above the normal average.

Last night during NFC playoffs I was home watching the game, however, someone on Nextdoor snapped this beautiful sunset.
As kids we'd fish off the WWI "Cement Ship"
In 2023 storms knocked out what remained of the pier. And, for safety reasons SC county removed remaining pilings.
At one time a person could go onto the ships deck where we'd cast fishing lines over the side railing. 30" Pacific Halibut off that pier was a common catch

😁 I haven't worn long pants in over two years. I think it was a funeral ....
I'll pull my shorts and flip flops back out in March. A fairly mild winter has made it wearing skip on skateboard shoes practical. I have snowboard shoes just in case.

Tribune is barely in Kansas...not sure I'd consider them fully Kansans, as their county touches *shudder* the Carbon Monoxide State (CO). Pour CO, ruled by...oh, I am forbidden to "go there" by the Head Horse In Charge.So much the better for some of the locals in Tribune. They can start working on their neck-tan.

Same here, very up and down.
warmest December in the history of my state, followed by two massive snowstorms and cold air for 5 days mid Jan.
...then a big warming this last week, alot of snow melted. less concerned w/ my ice dams
Jan. will be above average in temps all things factored in.
Feb. looks very warm to start
