Re: *** New Alpha Product Coming! *** " Icarus" 2 Mode Groups Day

Thanks and sorry to hijack your topic. I'm sure I will have questions specifically about the driver once I see the video..........and maybe acquire another RM.

EDIT: Spelling lesson from Got Lumens ?.......

No, no hijack.

It's good to post more content and questions.

.

Time for Today's new topic. . .

Digital Drop Protection

This is a first in Prometheus lights.
"Icarus" detects a drop and prevents an accidental mode change
that would normally result from the jolt.

Re: *** New Alpha Product Coming! *** " Icarus" Digital Drop Protection Day

sorry for jumping over the topics, but im curious about the double tap to 100% output. im wondering how quick the double tap has to be, or if it would be easy for users to accidently go into the double tap output while simply trying to change modes fast.

Can we see a list of what the drivers current is at the 22 different programmable levels?
for example
Level 1 - 1mah
Level 2 - 10mah
Level 3 - 70mah

No Problem.
The double tap has to be done from the off position. It's two pretty rapid presses I'm guessing probably 1/8-1/4 of a second or so for each press. I tried to duplicate what You were asking, and I was able to access Direct Access Mode while cycling too fast through the modes. Upon the next press following D/A Mode it cycled to the mode you were on in that group before D/A. Eight or more consecutive too fast presses put's you in programming mode once the press is held. You will enter/exit D/A mode with the 8 rapid presses needed to activate programming mode.

Re: *** New Alpha Product Coming! *** " Icarus" Thermal Protection Day

"Icarus" Topic of the Day: Thermal Protection

To avoid overheating, Icarus smoothly ramps down power in order to maintain a preset chip temperature. The default setting is 60oC, but this threshold is user adjustable. It can be completely disabled, but is not recommended.

This has not been tested yet.
I can say that the levels are in percentages of full power if that helps any. The current levels will vary some based upon the emitter used.

Edit: I will try to measure some for you.

Or a list of what the 22 different percentage levels are would be perfect...

I have a ready made with the Icarus driver but some of the instructions are a bit confusing. Maybe not for you. When will the video be available?

My Video should be uploaded by tomorrow morning.
What part do you need help with? The reason I ask is I may incorporate into my video.

Re: *** New Alpha Product Coming! ***

Please post or PM questions.
Here is a very basic brief tutorial for the Alpha Icarus Driver.
All of the individual mode settings in each mode group are customize-able.

Re: *** New Alpha Product Coming! ***

Link is disabled per the videos owner. FYI.

Seems fine on 3 different computers and multiple browsers. Sorry you're having trouble.
It won't play for me in the forum, but I can hit the YouTube button and watch it on YouTube directly (or in the app).

I was going to do a video since the website says "coming soon." The QR code on the instructions is missing the .html at the end of the addressee. This causes a error page.

I just changed the URL for the CPF insert video.
Let me know if this fixed it.
