Surefire Stiletto - not sure it's really 650 lumens at the top end

Mine finally arrived after waiting 3 weeks.
My first impressions:
The flat form factor makes it ride easily in a front pocket.
The low, (5 lumen) setting is nice for having "enough" light for walking through a dark room or working in a small space.
The medium (250 lumen) setting is much brighter- good for seeing everything clearly in a medium-sized room. I like this setting the best.
The "high" (659 lumen) setting is, well, not that much brighter. Next to my SF Fury (also rated at 650 lumens) it doesn't seem as bright, and certainty doesn't throw as far.

Has anyone measured the lumen output of this light?

It really seems to me that the jump from 250 to 650 should be a lot bigger.

Armsunlimited has them for $95.

The battery isn't removable/replaceable though right?

Has anyone had an issue with the light coming on while in the pocket. On another forum two people have had issues resulting in holes being melted in their pants.

No, but I kept it clipped to the edge of my pocket like a knife. Those guys had it banging around in their pocket with other stuff and had set the order to High-med-low.

The light seems as impractical as the ladies shoe it's named after.

I think it was a knife before it was a shoe ;)

I agree with you. I bought one if the predecessors to this, and it's still a useful keychain lamp

I will not buy one of these and I can't figure out what market they are actually going after with it.

Between all of the quality issues with the Sidekick and integrated battery, I would not touch this. I don't understand the direction they are going with their lights lately...
