Hello, playing SF Legos...I have an incan 9P I bought in 2010 that I added an A19 to with the thought of running two 16650 in series. The drop-in is a Malkoff M61LL from 2016. Charged both 16650's together on the same charger so that they're at the same state of charge. Any issues with this setup? I've never run rechargeables in series before and so just checking. I did test it out for a minute and all seemed normal e.g. batteries remained at room temp. Thanks!

PS: the 4X primaries are just there as a length example, I know the M61LL is only rated to 9V.

Also possible in a slightly-shorter build; back when SF Lego was more popular:

Very cool! I did not know about the AN14 extender. Wish I had bought one back when they were available. I purchased a G2 back in 2010, sitting here now with a M61LL drop in and a 16650 behind it.

Excellent setup! Those are great cells, no issue running them in series. And a bombproof LED module, good choice.
Great to see the classic Surefires in use.

Single Cell (CR123 size) extenders are still available, along with 6P round bodies that are bored for 18650 batteries.

One Cell Extender for Surefire/Malkoff 6p/MD bodies (SF A19 replacement)

Link to seller for Bored body and extender.

I've bought both the bodies and the extenders and they fit perfectly with the SF originals.
