I know we are comparing a missle ro a snail in regards to the two cars. The benz had a 4 cylidner 2.5 liter 60hp motor with 4 speed manual tranny and no od on a 4 thousand pound car. The scion has 109 hp on a 2 thousand and something car with 5 speeds.

The problem aint HP, its TORQUE. You diesel probably put out a LOT more than that little 4 banger. And who cares how many speeds it has, you don't need it with torque. Plus, 5th is over drive anyways

It's a long established rule that people BUY horsepower, but DRIVE torque for the most part.

That is how I drive my Ram. And because of my Ram everything else I drive feels SLUGGISH!
