I know this thread is old, but I wanted to comment because I have one of these lights that I bought off another website but the same torch and the battery pack is waterproof, I have washed by bike with a hose and completely soaked the battery pack and light and they both work afterwards. Also another thing to note, is that by torch will stay on high for about 2 hours and then activate over discharge protection, meaning it will switch off and won't turn back on again until it is charged.

I'm also interested in this one. Has anyone looked into guts? how is build quality, are leds properly attached to heatsink and so on?

Was meant to say free waterproof/rainproof battery pack! lol
