Just snagged a pretty decent one in black. I'm guessing there's not as many of them as the natural HA?

I never saw official numbers, but here on CPF there sure seemed to be many more C3-HA than C3-BK

I think that the C2 were closer to an even split (maybe 55/45, respectively)

Well I admit that I have broken my New Years pledge to not buy any more C3's, but you know that it's 2020 and nothing applies anymore. I've listed the ones that haven't been entered in the log.

A000612 HA 3-flats Cross Hairs Logo
A000974 BK 3-flats
A005700 BK 3-flats two patent dates
A011012 BK 4-flats
A016094 HA 4-flats
A023630 BK 4-flats

It's been a while since I have posted on this thread. I just wanted to let ampdude know that there are still more cross hair C3's out there. I picked up another one a couple years ago and never reported it.

Didn't know this thread existed.
I have a C3-BK Crosshairs with serial A00040.
I have to find it in my collection boxes to take a picture and post it.

Perhaps I cannot edit the list anymore? I went to update it with some new C3's and I am not seeing the edit option. If I find it I will certainly add these new lights to the list! (seems like I can edit this new post but cannot go back and edit the original list).

I picked up a nice condition C3-HA on eBay. I'm afraid to use it too much because I want to keep it in great shape. I've added a polished stainless bezel ring and 2x17500 but otherwise it's stock.

Serial A007413

I love all C3's, but the round body are my favorites. I've had my 765 forever and it has some happy and unhappy memories with it. Interesting that it was a transition piece, apparently just when they stopped putting the crosshair logo on the body. Most C3's you see nowadays are either rode hard and put away wet a few too many times, or a ridiculous price. I always tried to take care of all my lights no matter what they went through.

The serial ranges on the C2's with the crosshair logo run much higher, since the C3 was not yet released when the C2 came out as far as I recall.
