What a wonderful little light -- if there is a list, put me on it!

Thank you so much for the CR2 format. I just love CR2 sized lights and wish there were more. For pocket carry, I really love the CR2.

If you are looking for some feed back, and one could only offer minor feedback as I think this light is very well done but here goes. 1). I love knurling and would like to see it extended to the tear drops, I love the tear drops, they look great.

And 2). would there be a way to secure the clip, I don't like clip on clips, and for the price tag, I really would prefer a clip screwed down. (Clip on clips remind me of clip on ties, and I hate clip on ties)!

That's all...no deal breakers just my thoughts. It really is a wonderful light you have put together, everything else is perfect. This appears to be a very well designed and researched piece of the flashlight makers art.

I only have one question: is that a McGizmo switch, or one designed by Mr. McLeish? I feel the McGizmo switch to be the worldwide industry standard for flashlight switches, bar none.

Nevertheless, congratulations on what I am certain will be another hit with the flashlight community, another winner for sure.

Thanks for continuing to produce amazing little lights for us.

One last thing, will there be selected dealers for purchase, or do we simply go thru your site!

Thank you,

All the best,

Redled

I love the CR2 format too. I'm in for one, and probably two when I get a few grails paid off.

Same with me, I need to thin out some and keep my all time favorite lights and sell off even some of my rare ones that I may have spares if for no other reason to enjoy the lights I have a little more by using them more frequently than in the past.

My collection is one that gets used, and when I say used, I mean like fine jewelry, with some respect. Also, I keep everything perfectly maintained.

Even ladies with large collections of fine jewelry, sell or exchange it from time to time in order to obtain some fresh pieces.

I think this new Aeon will be a keeper. With all my McGizmos.

transultimate: The clicky is just a simple on-off clicky, with mode switch either with a full click, or partial depression of the pushbutton. No double clicking - simple mode switching behavior. :)

SOYCD: Thanks!

RedLed: The switch is custom made for the Aeon, as is almost everything else in the light. I may have dealers at some point, but right now it's just through the website.

magellan:

Thanks everyone!

Hate to say this bit, where are all the Aeon fans 10 posts in ten days, do people know of this, why must this beautiful light be in a sales thread, Muyshont is a beloved maker of some of the most prolific lights in the history of flashlights.

I want one of these, and in the past members were tripping over them selves to get in line!

Why so little interest in this fantastic light, I would take three if I can. What is going on?

I would if I had the money but I just spent it tracking down a Mk. II. :) The exposed brass and extra knurling swayed me.

I think there are many following Enrique's frequent Instagram progress reports (@muyshondtent). I pre-ordered mine some time ago. I am with you though, I expected a new Aeon would generate quite a bit of excitement and chatter. Maybe things are just slow to pick up here but I am sure the light will get more traction once reports start coming in from those who own the Mark III. Not to speak for Enrique but he is just now putting together the prototypes for beta testing. Hopefully, we will see the first production batch before Christmas. The prototype he has been (torture) testing looks very solid. I suggest fellow CPFers check out his IG posts; very cool stuff. Personally, I love EDC lights that use primaries very efficiently, which muyshondts are known for.

I am very excited to get mine and am even anticipating Mokume and Timascus versions.

PS Although off-topic, I also ordered a Nautilus Mk. II from his latest production batch, which as it happens is the last batch for the Mk. II. I am very curious to see what Enrique has up his sleeve for the Nautilus Mk. III.

Interesting question, perhaps they are waiting for a definite announcement or projected sales date given how long the gestation period can be for exceptional quality, high end lights?

Also consumer spending, even on the high end, has seen its ups and downs over the last 5 years.

In any case I'm in for at least two from the first batch. Hope to get one or two more as funds become available.

A mokume and/or Timascus versions would be awesome. I'd be in for at least two of each.

While I like the looks of this light, I think many of us prefer a twisty format for these small lights. One of the things that I've always loved about Enrique's lights is the progressive twisty. In fact I have a couple of Spinners, four Aeons and four Makos version 1 and 2. This just doesn't interest me with the standard switch - it's too much like many other offerings.

Another issue may be the price. While the uniqueness and workmanship are likely worth the cost, a lot of people simply can't afford ~$400 for a flashlight.

Well, the project was announced about 12 weeks ago to people following me on Instagram, and soon after to newsletter subscribers. Since that time over 600 people have started following the project, and there has been good activity with each new status update there, including the latest one a day or two ago. Instagram has fast become my preferred way to roll out a project, and that's where the action's at. :)

Mokume Gane & Timascus will indeed be awesome, and I'm looking forward to finishing tests with those materials in the next couple of weeks.

Monanza: It's unlikely that I'll release a new Nautilus for a long while after the Mk. II Ultralight is complete. When it happens, though, who knows - maybe a Nautlius Mk. III Cloudburner? We'll see what the future holds! ;)

That's good to know. It certainly sounds like that bodes well for future sales. Also, I and many others I'm sure will be happy to hear you're testing Timascus and mokume gane versions.

Well, that makes sense. I am not on any social media, just a personal choice. I don't need it, my clients don't want me on it, and I'm doing better that ever.

Many top people stay away form the pedestrian nature of it.

Just want to add, don't forget to announce your new offerings here. One reason, no the reason I can't go on social media is contractually, I can't. One company in the computer industry, some Mil. The other just a big property.

One thing these people all love is these contracts which come from Market Street in Philadelphia, Park Ave, NY, Century City, and Washington DC.

Something that is long expired contractually, is I knew about Bluetooth for years before any one ever herd the name or concept, and shot all most of the prototype hardware at the time. I had to have a stack of badges and an two escorts, as it is hard to get three people to conspire.

So no social, media slip up's it is what these people want, even though they take the CF cards right out of my cameras, I can't bring the transmitters from the studio that so straight to my post production artist, and they all take my tablets, phones, and laptop. Imdont even show up with them anymore.

Just thought I would explain as everyone bugs me about not being on social media, and telling me I am behind the times, and all that - when that is quite the exact opposite, I think - if you only knew what you will see someday.

Now I have one thread I can forward to the people who constantly pester me about this. Besides all I would get is on Social Media is this: 'We need this shot or that covered but we can't afford to pay you' - singularly unique to the photographic trade.

So Mr. Muyshondt, don't get lost in the depths and cavernous pits of the social media experiment scene. Please remember you have customers over here, and I think I can speak for others when I say: we love your work!

Thank you!
