Well, I tried taking some beamshots tonight against my house (like Newlumen does). I had a flooder, which filled the whole house with a nice even light and took the picture. Then did the same with a dedicated thrower which put a tight ball of sun at the center of the house. Now I can't take pictures with my phone because they all come out foggy orange. I actually ruined the camera's sensor!
It's an Android Samsung Galaxy S5.

Good news! I turned the phone off all night and this morning the camera sensor seems to have recovered.
Not sure what happened but I've never shot a thrower at 75' against a light colored wall before. I hurt my eyes too! LOL

Niiiice! My go to cells (well the most of a brand) are 30Q's, good enough for pretty much any light, decent capacity and A rating. There really is not much in it between the 30Q and vtc6................certainly not to the eye anyway.

Been pondering over one of thoseSkyRC's, still pondering! The btc3100 has just been fine so far and does everything i need, but when the time comes the RC is up top. Would have gone for the dragon, but not keen on a few things like the charge rates or lack of. Not to mention probes that will just get on my nerves tangled up or kept in the box which makes it pointless for me(personal op).

Enjoy!

I got a SkyRC a couple months ago and I love it! Once I found a very simple explanation on how to set up programs posted on CPF I set up charge and refresh programs for my 26650, 18650, 16650, 18350, 16340, 14500 and 10440 cells in about 20 minutes. Now I have programs set to charge my cells at 2.1A, 1.5A, 1A, .7A, .5A, .4A, .3A and .05A! I really love the precision of this charger. When I saw the flash deal for $79 I could not pass it up.

Here are my top 4 edc lights. All are program to high mode only.. that's the way it should be. Right?
1. Fenix tk16vn XML PDT.
2. Eagtac g25c2vn. Xpl PDT.
3. Surefire 6p vn. Xpg 2 PDT.
4. Lumintop sd26vn. Xpl PDT..

Fenix tk16vn have bigger hot spot than g25c2vn.. g25c2vn have smaller hot spot, brighter, and more throw.. I still pick Fenix tk16vn #1..

Between the Fenix tk16vn and the SD26vn, which has the bigger hot spot?

Of course.

"What did mama say to me.

That's the way, oh,
That's the way it ought to be,
Yeah, yeah, mama say
That's the way it ought to stay."

I was thinking about writing a lyrics this morning. Bad grammar.. you guys can edit it and to make better.

Skylumen, skylumen, this is newlumen. I started buying lights a year go, and my first light was pelican...
them i discovered skylumen.. tn36utvn was my first high lumen!!
after i get my real high lumen, i started buying more vn.
and i will never go back to stock lumen..
every day, i work hard for the vn..
so many good lights, fenix is one of my top brand, then acebeam is my second brand..
who need a girl ? , when the lights can shine for you, and keep you company..
i will always struck with stock lumen if i never discover skylumen and cpf..
now its time for me to play with the x45vn....

I've paired up the following flooder/thrower combinations in 4 size categories in my V54 collection.

The benefits are independent control of flood vs throw to conform to specific situations, and having a backup light.

Looks like you went ahead and married them all off. Hopefully they will give you some grandkids.

What's up with the highlight on the sc200c2vn lumen cell? I was hoping to see your tn40vn and the tn42vn as a pair. You did have a tn42vn didn't you?
