Exact same camera setting on both shots. I measured the tn42vn90 at 837kcd which is less then what vinh measured surprisingly. I measured 1.2m CD on the GT.

cool deal, thats why i was asking
you can plainly see the hotspot on the gt being more intense on those shots for sure
distance you measured from ?

Btw where do I sign up for potentially getting on the list for the pass around for the TN42vn90? I'd make a video of the light with my dslr.

Does anyone have a photo of the TN42 next to the BLF GT? I still can't quite picture the size difference.

Awesome pics guys, it's sure a beast......could it actually be bordering too big? I mean will it get used after the WOW, as it's pretty easy to just grab a smaller light out the door(tn42vn included as small lol).

Yes it's definitely in the TOO BIG category---I wouldn't want to pack this thing around--even the TN42 gets cumbersome-- The shape of Ole Faithful TK61vn or K40vn suits me just fine--BUT like every one here--I had to have one of each-----:twothumbs

Yeah, I was shaking my head when they decided on the 8-cell design over the 4-cell design purely based on aesthetics (the longer tube makes the GT look more "balanced") while the sheer size of the light defies the nature of aesthetics and practicality.

Well now that I have it in my hand, I'm loving with the 8-cell design!

I do have to say tho, the longer tube makes the GT look smaller than it really is on pictures.

Vinh you should try putting the Osram Synios in a D1vn or other tiny thrower to see what kind of numbers/beam you get.
