Yes I think it was 5. Not sure with the story behind them. I think they went to very special individuals

I know that 5 is the number always quoted, but for some reason, and unless I'm mistaken, it seems that I was also told that there were actually 6 of them made.

7 actually. The machine shop that did the tubes got to keep the two "worst" ones, that Henry built out as a form of payment.

Haha no kidding. I'm shocked we haven't seen those pop up for sale after all these years!

Along with the original Larry Lights, those are among CPF's most notable "unicorn" torches. Very very unlikely to see those moving around :eek:oo:

I did not purchase this rare Ti Ra Twisty for $660 that includes a red low and a medium and bright white. It was sold in 2008 and purchased by omoanya from Edgewater, NJ. in three (3) minutes from listing it.

Last week I purchased a 2009 Titanium EDC Clicky (RaClicky) and it is arriving at HDS today for the Titanium upgrade to include the Nichia 219c 5700K R9050 High CRI emitter. Very exciting.

The following was from a sales thread in late last year from a fellow in Japan that got one of the 200 lumen Titanium EDC Clickies and kept it in unused condition. Sold for $995. Rumor has it that he helped Henry start his business.

""The "Legend" HDS EDC Executive Titanium, one of only three 200 lumen version that was made from OSRAM's engineering samples. 170 lm versions were 37 or 40
pcs made for sale."
I think it's Henry who helped the Japanese dealer, not the contrary. Could be wrong though.

Did HDS ever make a 18650 aluminum clicky battery compartment with 24 Threads Per Inch (TPI) and, if so, can I use it on a Titanium head without risking galvanic corrosion at the connection?

I believe those answers are "no" and "no"

I think there may have been a "19670" (18650 / protected) tube for the Twisty, and possibly one prototype for the Clicky, but no production version for the Legacy Clicky larger than 17670 (but may have been called 18690 or something)

Any significant metal mismatch, especially in the presence of moisture, may cause corrosion as you note above.

However, I have used a custom Ti CR2 tube on a Legacy Twisty for several years, kept clean and dry, without obvious problems so far.

Just went back through my old old threads. Guess there was 100 made in fact. I started a poll on them. Lol
