Just a quick cell phone shot of my converted light. These pills work great, thanks again for offering these.

Thanks, this will help alot.

I'll be going with Mountain Electronics for my parts and have couple questions.

For the LED's, I'm looking at going with the XP-L HI U4 4000k. They come pre-soldered in parallel. Is this the way they should be for this build? Or is series better?

For the Driver I'm going with the QLITE REV.A 7135*8 3.04A LED DRIVER - 17mm. I see you can increase the current up to 6 amps. Can the LED's handle the amps? Or the limiting factor is probably the batteries. Can IMR 16340 support that pull? what about IMR 18350?

Thanks for any answers that can be provided.

For a single cell setup, u have to use the parallel configuration..
The triple can definitely take 6A because it will be divided by 3; 2A per emitter..
And yes, pls use a IMR18350 if u are planning to run it at 6A.

Thanks for the responses. I'll be ordering my parts very soon.

Also wanted to say thanks to mcbrat for making this happen. Looking forward to returning my Mac to my EDC rotation.

Looks like yes for 18350, no for 16340 - limit to 4A max. on that cell size. Do any Mac EDCs accept 18350 cells?

AW Specs for reference:
IMR16340 Specifications: Max. continuous discharge rate: 4A
IMR18350 Specifications: Max. continuous discharge rate: 12A

Curious, I've got a Ti that runs 16340 and I thought that was the norm. I do wish it ran 18350s...may have to look into getting her bored :).

Honestly I'm surprised there are still any left Mick. Sorry I havn't gotten back with you sooner, but these pills are amazing!
Top-notch quality and solid copper, what more could one want when making an LE?
If anyone is on the fence about getting these pills, do yourself a favor and buy them now before they're gone!
Thanks Mick!

biggest thing I notice is how much heavier the light is :)

for comparison:

CuTe Std pill = 27.79g
Conversion CuTe pill = 52.74g
stock Al pill = 8.57g

My Ti takes 16340s, Mac changed to 18350 part way through, so all the earlier ones were 16340. Precisionmachineworks can bore the light, I had a quote from him, but was procrastinating, this may well push me over the edge.
