if it was meant to stand for side clicky, wouldn't 90% of their lineup have the SC designation? i suspect such an answer from ZL was made off the cuff but who knows.

If my memory serves me right, I think I remember when their handhelds were concepts, they were referred to as the "sub compact" series.
