i think 4 hours on L91 isnt too far fetched (...)
Gip: are you a medium ? :twothumbs

Nice graphs! It seems to be pretty efficient on all battery types. I only wish it didn't have the focusing feature, as it seems to work rather poorly.
adirondackdestroyer : just keep it tight for throw  (for flood you can use Surefire F04 diffuser)

Re: Fenix E20 : a very short review (beamsots and runtime added)

I eagerly await the E15.... 50 lumens, 3 hours on alkies, a LDF-type finish on the lens so there's no donut.

Do you think it's 109 lumens OTF?

For me, the output is somethings between the E1B (80 lm) and the E2DL (120 lm), so around 100 lumens ...

When using the reflector to change the shape of the beam from a tight focus to a de focused wide beam unless ther overall output is diffused in some way a Donut hole is impossible to avoid.

Can you please explain what you do expect? How to acheive it?

The color of the beam looks much nicer in the second photos, but yeah that hole is worrisome. The first three shots the beam pattern looks great to me tho......darn this is a tough decision. Thanks for posting the flood to throw pics.

I would love to see this light too if its well regulated.

I don't like the donut but the regulation on alkalines is great even if the runtime low as expected.

Thanks for the review and the runtime graph:twothumbs
I also got mine from EliteLED, sharing some my beamshots here:)
10 m shots, left to right: surefire E1B, Fenix E20, Fenix L2D Q5 (all using alkaline batteries)
E1B-10m2.jpg
E20Q210m.jpg
L2DQ5-10m.jpg

Lux reading references: E1B 3900 lux, E20 3200 lux, L2DQ5 3700 lux
Their total output look like E1B<E20<L2DQ5

Hi cbubu, if you mind, just let me know, I will remove the figures.

thanks cbubu for the graphs! and chaos for the beam shot comparisons!

i really love this light! this is like the best light for my dad, or my gf's dad.

like cave dave was saying, this thing pretty much matches up with the E2E on runtime and output, which i love! AND it runs on cheap alkis!

i can get 36 durcell alki for like 12 bucks...thats .33 CENTS! per batt.

surefire batt 1.75 x2 = 2.50 per hr on surefire ( my e2d)
or durcell .33 x 2 = .66 cents per hr on the e2o,

i cant wait to order my e20! WOooOOO!

=D

The only thing preventing me from ordering one is that it is my wife's birthday and I had to save some $$$ for her present.

Mine just arrived, very happy with it. I prefer it over my P1D because it takes standard batteries, easier to hold and turn on/off. The brightness (and run time I expect) is similar. Excellent value for money.

Mine arrived today.
Very impressive, especially considering the price.

One thing I noticed in particular is the switch.
Smooth and good to use in momentary, firm and solid to fully click on/off.

The switch is firm, pleasant.
Niconical, I agree with you : for me, this switch is one of more pleasant of my light collection (even Surefire). It seems (may be it's just a feeling ...) also very robust. Hoping that Fenix keeps this design for the new models. Happy that you like the E20 :)

Hi cbubu, if you mind, just let me know, I will remove the figures.

Great pics.

The Fenix E20 seems like a good light for the price.

For double the price you can get a Fenix L2D.
