I think I was the first person to successfully break the light. I have a broken titanium knee replacement(I tend to push the limits on EVERYTHING) and it likes to give out on me unexpectedly. I ended up dropping/ almost tossing the light from a height of about 3'. The light impacted the concrete and bounced. When I opened the light, the flat top 18650 cell had a severe indentation significant enough to cause me to dispose of the battery. There was no obvious damage to the driver, but the light was dead. I contacted Devin, who had me send the light back and he made mine the first potted light. When it was returned, it had new driver, fully potted electronics and had been polished to where it looked like a brand new light. Kudos to Devin, for standing behind his products and outstanding customer service. Now all his lights are potted. I really hope he continues to make lights-outstanding quality, and I can say I missed this light more than any other while it was being "upgraded and made bulletproof". So happy to have it back-beautiful beam, high CRI and it feels like it was custom made to fit my hand. Thank you Devin!

Very nice setup Neale! I'm getting better with the seam, though there is always a touch of luck involved.

Some updates, the H17F is now the default driver, and two configurations are used, a H17F with a spring for the 18650 hosts and a H17F with a brass button for the 18500 hosts.

Aluminum Bronze will now be an option, however it will be 18500 hosts only. The price will be $400. People currently on the list are welcome to change their material option if they want Aluminum Bronze, otherwise any new requests will be added to the end of the list.

I will also add the option of a knurly grip instead of the ringed grip. This is a full flat-top knurl along the grip section of the tail. The time to do ringed vs knurled is basically the same, so there are no additional charges for those who might prefer a knurly.

I will update the spreadsheet and main page later to reflect these changes.
