Nowadays with all the bad guys packing and ready to kill you, brandishing a gun for "wiggle room", means somebody is most likely going to get shot. Them, or you because they took it from you while you were talking about it.

I'm not exactly a small guy, nor am I a large guy. Having seen what people can do to each other when in panic response mode, many "options" seem definitively absolute. There's no reasoning with unreasonable people, but there must be some level of restraint and wisdom when exercising self defense.

Hypocritical of me, considering I typically don't believe in half measures.

.380 ACP is a shortened 9mm round ~ Bullet diameter of .355" or 9mm

If you would take that 17.3mm long ACP casing and neck it down to take a .30cal bullet of say 90gr.
It would increase velocity alot and give more energy.
Necking down focuses gasses = increasing velocity

Make for an interesting concealed carry round

Use Hornady .30 cal (7.62mm) XTP hollowpoints

Call it .30Comp,,, or something like that:)

There's always a place for wiggle room, and situation-dependent progressive escalation. Assess the situation, be quick, and be flexible...and trust me; when push comes to shove, no one with a brain wants to be shot with a .25ACP;-)

A defense attorney informed a friend of mine that the above scenario could easily cost someone $50K, even when they were found legally justified.

That's only dealing with the state, not the family of the deceased.

NAA (North American Arms) once made a run at a wildcat .32 in a .380 bottleneck case, in co-op w/Corbon (.32NAA). I don't think it enjoyed much success in the market, but ICBW. Let's just say I didn't choose that route when it was available and I was picking out a Guardian .32 for myself ;-) Personally I do load, but have little interest in such wildcat variants.

I do, however currently keep some fairly hot CorBon .32ACP loads (but not designated as '+P') in my .32 Guardian.
