Been a rather cool Spring here, two or three days in the lower 70s',, that's it!
next week looks to be a pattern change, and that'll move to the east coast.

Rain. Been threatening to rain last night and throughout the day. Few drops here and there. Finally opened up. Just stopped awhile ago.

God bless NYC weather. A cold front is moving in which thankfully means no more 95 degrees but it seemed to have bought VERY heavy rain. I had about 1/2 to 1 inch of water in the basement from the rear trap backing up after only about 30 minutes of rain. This must have hit 4 or 5 inches an hour. Crazy. It looks like I'll have to sweep the water into the traps and mop the floors. At least I didn't get 8 inches like a few years ago.

I went to get food at a Japanese place. My new regular spot on my day-off (since the Middle Eastern place turned to absolute trash after the new owner bought it). Thankfully, owner of the Japanese place is smart enough to offer a very diversified menu. Two hours later, the Heavens opened up! Haven't experienced such a massive Thunder storm in my neighborhood in years. Thankfully, no damage.

Hot, humid. It's summer in Florida again. At least the thunderstorms are starting to fire up again, which makes it worth it to me.

And we're back to Winter without snow, again!
Keep in mind, it's June!
Better than the sweltering face-melting humidity, lol...Some snow would be awesome in june, but if the midwest/south shows us anything about snow in summer, it's that it will most likely end up as softball sized hail.

Somehow we've been blessed with beautiful weather in the evenings here. Low(er) humidity, steady breezes, lows near 70F. For June? Amazing. Made for a nice walk yesterday.

Often listen to NOAA on my 2-way radio after getting in bed.
Last night right after turning On there was an Emergency Broadcast System Alarm ,, first time I heard that.

There was a Tornado Warning just to my southwest, the track they were saying would have taken it south of me..
the concerning part was the atmosphere was primed for tornadoes and there were a bunch of Sever Thunderstorm Warnings all around me.
those could have done just about anything

I just stayed in bed

My point here, NOAA did an incredible job at being VERY specific of directions of storm path, towns/cities/all roads possibly impacted.
I was rather impressed.

Gold Star to NOAA last night for WI
