This sig 320 situation touched me personally, a friend of mine died when his discharged in his holster, it was iwb holster, his wife found him dead at home, he was not my close friend, but i knew them pretty good, used to go camping together for years. it happened a year ago, his wife told us he shot himself, so we assumed he committed suicide (which was a shocker for me, i knew him and he was not a suicidal at all, but out of respect i did not ask anything else) today another friend of mine sends me this article, he did not kill himself. I hope she gets a big sum, his daughter was born around same time my son was born, she is around 6 now.

I been looking at a gamo air riffle for a way to feeed my self if the world goes bad. It can shoot 22 pellets at 1300 fps man i think it will be perfectj for small game
They are, I have hunted rabbits with .177 air rifle, 20-30 yards it could hit a dime everytime. most shots were straight thru, it was old gamo hunter 220, but if i was buying one today, I'd pick .22 cal pellet gun, a friend of mine bought a .22 ruger pellet rifle, with the scope for under 200 from walmart, that things is awesome, you could easily hunt small game.

Genuinely sorry to hear what happened to your good friend. I hope his widow is holding up as well as could be expected. I remember growing up, SIG was the most trusted, best quality brand out there. You needed the best, you bought a SIG. Didn't really matter which model. You knew you were getting quality that you could bet your life one. Disgusting how things have changed.

Those lights are tricky, if you use them to search or illuminate, you are pointing a loaded gun, in civilian world, it is an aggravated assault.

Im a huge proponent of weapon mounted lights on home defense weapons. On conceal carry weapons I can go either way. The good thing about lights is you don’t have to use them if you don’t want to. Just becuase it’s there, you don’t have to turn it on. BUT, if it’s dark and you can’t see and your handheld light is missing or broken the mounted lights sure come in handy.

Missing or broken? That's why we carry back-up lights to our back-up lights.
Some of the best concealed carry handguns out there have no place where you can mount a light onto them.

Once you chamber a round, especially in a striker-fired, then push it into a third party holster..
I can't see Sig being at fault, not at all.

Personally don't keep rounds chambered. I'll risk the half second,
own two striker-fired

was very hesitant on saying that,
sorry for the family.

Local SO just got a grant to replace their SIGs and holsters. Isn't Sig doing a recall and refunding the money paid for them? Seems like they should.

Honestly, if you carry with one in the pipe, an auto-pistol's design should absolutely prevent a negative discharge. Doesn't matter whose holster you use. If the design doesn't, than the pistol model is dangerously flawed. It's not just one or two cases with that SIG model. It's literally too many to count at this point. With too many lives lost. The P320's designer should be tossed into prison for Negligent Homicide at this point. This pistol would be an absolute joke, if it didn't cost lives.

Weapon lights are great, but you need a hand held light too - you don't want to point a loaded gun at every bump in the night before you determine what it is. Hand held lights are OK for use with a pistol, but on a long gun a mounted light is needed as you generally won't have a free hand to work the light while you fire the gun. I do like a mounted light on a pistol too so long as it doesn't compromise concealabiity since they allow a proper two hand grip. I like the ones with a integral laser (I actually prefer lasers to dots on defensive handguns). And as you mentioned, you don't have to use light if it's not needed.

Looks good, but I wouldn't want a comp on a carry gun.

A comp. is for formal, competitive shooting matches. It does nothing to help in a violent Self-defense encounter. Plus, most are a bit long. So you get the disadvantage of extra length on your concealed carry pistol, with no added benefits during such encounters.

Picture someone always misplacing their car keys. So, to prevent that, they weld the key-ring onto a 10 pound weight.

Thanks for the education, guys. Maybe ya'll should let Smith & Wesson know, too. Seems they got it all wrong. 😄 They'll probably offer you a job.

There is no point. Sig isn’t responsible for poor holster choices. The pistol is safe and never fires unless you half press a trigger. THEN you press a slide to a frame and…

Glock does absolutely the same:
