My favorite actor, dead at 95.
May he rest in peace.

Oh wow! I'd forgotten the Lex Luthor role.RIP
Damn, only 95. That's no age these days.
I really liked him in Crimson Tide and Enemy of The State. And as the original Lex Luthor in the old Superman movies.
It does sound like that, doesn't it? You would think only something like that (a chemical or simple asphyxiant) would explain multiple human and animal deaths simultaneously. That is sad, I liked the guy, RIP.
If no foul play suspected it most likely carbon monoxide poisoning, especially if the dog dies too, if there was something else dog would probably alert them, dogs can not detect CO. This is not uncommon, about 400 people die each year in usa because of it.
The fox article says there was no signs of a gas leak, a pill bottle was found next to Gene's wife and pills were scattered around the sink. A dog was found in the bathroom closet. Im betting the dog ate some of the pills, got sick and hid in the closet before it eventually died. Most animals try to hide when they are sick or injured. Two others dogs were found alive on the property but the article didnt specify were on the property. It does sound like that, doesn't it? I was thinking along those lines as well. We only have what they're telling us at the moment so, salt grains and all that, but I was thinking he finally gave up the ghost and she didn't want to go on and deleted herself. The dog was collateral damage. My thinking is Gene fell from a stroke or something, his wife couldn't stand life without him so she took pills, some of which the dog ate or.....
Possibly: She committed suicide by pill, the dog ate some, Gene found her and was so distraught he stroked out and died trying to run outside to yell to the gardener for help or due to dimensia forgot and chose to yell at the gardener "get off my lawn".
I know whenever i drop anything that even remotely appears edible including tissues, straws, pills, etc my dogs at least give it a taste test.I was thinking along those lines as well. Yes, apparently he had it. It's horribly sad, but perhaps it saved him some pain in the end....at least I hope so.How would he not know? Was he alzimiers?
