Wow, that’s very surprising to me. The d4 and d4svn is the same exact light other than the difference in battery right?
i can’t believe a high drain 26650 gives 1000 more lumens than a high drain 18650!
is the 5000 lumens at start up or 30 secs?

I will use Sony vtc5a unless skylumen say no on certain specs.

Here is my find
stock d4 xpl hi with Sony vtc5a 4000 lumen @ turn on
stock d4 xpl hi with Sony vtc5. 3600 lumen @ turn on

d4s. Use shockli imr 26650.. 5000 lumen @ turn on

Still hot, but heatsink improve over d4. With this kind of light, you can use around 2000 lumen and maintain less heat.

Just got this emisar d4s xpl hi 5000k.. my battery is not fully charged yet.. 4.08v.. this light is pushing crazy 4730 lumen.. if you don’t have one, get one at skylumen for $63.

Yeap. You will not be disappointed.. auxiliary led is cool. Stepped ramp modes is added. Turbo Mode switching is faster than d4. ( double click to turbo, another double click to return to previous mode).. more powerful and better heat management over d4.

Its depend.. I am sure most of the d4 manufacture after August, 2017 came in latest firmware.. 10 clicks and hold .
