hello all!! Hope everyone had a great Christmas! And a great newyears to come! Since ive had some time off work ive had this one on the wrist alot more.

Speaking of Rollie, I'm wearing this fella today. It echoes most of what I like about the grail 6538 Explorer/red depth dial from '56 or so.

I don't think I'd ever get around to dropping 7 figures on one of these. Not that I would I ever have the nuts to wear it anyway:

Thank you my friend. Thats a very nice looking watch!! you're not wrong about wearing a watch of that Explorers caliber! Thats a nice watch!.. at first you become very aware of door frames, table tops, corners of walls. Lol! But after a while that fades and you can just enjoy wearing it. I don't get mine out very often...usually just for special occasions as I work in the directional drilling/excavation field. I always have my samsung watch on for that. But as for tonight and seeing i don't have to work tomorrow I've switched back to old trustee.

When I first got it I modded it with a double domed sapphire crystal, strap code super-O bracelet, and I did bleach the bezel just a bit to help it along but that was years ago and its definitely faded substantially more over the years.

New addition to the large G family the GWG1000dc (desert camo) limited edition. I had fitted the DC strap and bezel to a standard GWG 1a3 instead of the standard strap . But the dial is a different colour, mode hand etc so never felt 100% of makes sense. This is how normally worn, I use 0.5 on iPhone to be closer without blurb it’s a large G but doesn’t look as big as pic shows being 7.3/4” wrist

Compared to my converted one with bezel a strap, which at the time was a crash £180 . The original was a GWG1000 1a3 which come with a green strap.

Thank you sir , I’ve been kind of after one for a while and just got lucky. I wasn’t actively seeking one, just on the want to get at some point list. Prices vary hugely, so finding a like new one, took away the should I shouldn’t I part

My bedroom is full of boxed 1:18 model cars, watches, LPs, flashlights and guitars. I'm at the point now though where it looks like a storeroom and that isn't cool at all.
