Seriously cute! We do have occasional foam wars around here, with the 3ft originals ;)

5 parts is a lot to coordinate for a 2nd edition. Let me see if we can cut that down first, making special metals easier.

Would it be possible for you to create a locked thread where you then can post updates on availability of the lights. Logging in every time there have been a post for months is nuts.
Kind regards, Tim.

Awesome idea!

I'm just curious, do you have any idea if the next wave of wasp heads will be hitting within the first few weeks of November? I'll be out of town for a month after that point, and I'm eager to see if I could snag one! But so is everyone else :mecry: ;)

So I'm at a time share in the middle of the desert (sorta) which is far from city light pollution. The family and I go out for some night swimming. Main pool is lit, but the kiddie pool lights were off-- basically it was pretty much next to pitch black. Kids wanna swim in the shallower kiddie pool so I decided to turn into superdad and drop my V5 WASP on afterburner level into the pool and just as I expected, the entire pool is illuminated. It was pretty hard to capture the right exposure, but just believe me when I say that it was as if the pool lights were on. That's all 😁

Wow. Looks like the after burner from a fighter jet!
Did you ever feel how hot the light got? And how long did it last on that super high level? Did it step down?

Underwater it felt fine. I was holding it mostly the entire time and I think the water was helping with the heat transfer. However, once it left the water, it was very hot, but still bearable to touch.

I didn't time it since I was busy having fun hehe but it's safe to say that it did step down at the estimated 10 minutes (it was running on a pair of 18350s). Battery stretch and battery protection were both on and kicked in with just enough light. Just to be sure, I turned it off a couple times and turned it back on. It'd turn on at High then step down a few seconds later.

Both batteries clocked in at 3.2V when popped in the charger.

still loving this light. in my area there's been talks of wind and heavy rains possibly causing power failures. i reprogrammed my light to about 30% single mode power in 18650 and left it at the house with a couple charged cells for the wife to use in case we lose power tonight (im away at work during the night). shes a flashlight noob, just wanted to leave her with a good general purpose output she can leave on for a good amount of time. this light can do and be anything you want it to.
when you give the heads up warning for the next batch of wasp light will you announce what the "surprise" is going to be, or will that not be revealed until the moment they become available? i ask because if its a "got to have it" feature i may participate in the circus.

Yes, I read description, but what about real experience?

The new boards are tested for shock and thermal (-40 to +120C) extremes:

As well as "excessive moisture":

And for recoil specifically, we have a v5 x300 in this guys hands:

It's about the perfect beam for srt/swat work and vehicle assaults.
Square range in rain and heavy dust in az
And a few multi day shoothouse classes
And one real world police warrant serving

700 rounds of 45acp
500 rounds of 9mm
And 300 rounds of 556
