I really don't have much left to buy at this point. Don't spend food monies on batteries, bulbs, or lights if you aren't even going to open them up or use them I've learned.

I'm with ya, when it comes to dinner _out_. Plate of nachos, water, tip, is too close to $20 vs $10 these days. I'd rather eat cheap and buy some gizmo.When I'm having to decide whether to pay for dinner or buy another light... and even then I think that dinner is just one meal...but I can use the flashlight more than once.

I have never counted them so I don't know for sure it's 777 but feel pretty confident it's 500+.

You could have a collection of 2 or three lights and the they be very meaningful to you. Maybe it was your father's from the police service, the armed forces, or the factory as his work light or that light you took on a trip to some exotic location, or maybe it was a rare one-off from Keller or some custom maker.
I lost my mother's MiniMagLite when one of my bicycles was stolen and even though I didn't care so much about her it was the first quality light that I ever used and it had a lot of memories in it. I sure wish I had it. It would mean more than most of the lights in my collection.

There's quite a few restaurants around me where you can still have a proper sit-down dinner for $20/person. Most of them are local mom & pops. BUT some of them truly are the best of their kind for the area. Don Julio's in Orlando comes to mind. Or The Draught Haus in Dunedin.
