The A6 is a nice light if you're willing to live with the limitations, which are entirely in the firmware. The driver is essentially the same as the SC64c LE. It looks great with dedomed 519A, and there's some room to increase H1 and lower L, though it's a bit tricky getting nice mode spacing...

    Seeker 3/4 Pro battery?

It's been a while since most current Olight models could run on regular cells. The Baton 3 eliminated the support from the S1R II in 2021, for example, and the Baton 4 continues that.

I'm looking for some feedback from SC700d HI owners who have had issues with the light turning off unexpectedly. I'm trying to separate two issues here. One seems to be in firmware, where any SC700d HI or newer SC65c HI can be turned off at any time by a fast enough double click, which...

It's not a physical issue with the switch itself. I can easily replicate it on SC65c HIs and SC700d HIs with spotless replaced switches, and with a driver that doesn't even have the switch attached to it directly. We're all just used to double clicking really fast.

Damn, the part about the double click speed is spot on. I did some testing, and I can get most SC65c HIs and SC700d HIs to misregister a double click within half a dozen attempts if I intentionally do it as fast as possible. I cannot replicate the behaviour with an SC64w HI or SC64c LE. I'm not...

Alternative to Zebralight H604D Pure Flood 18650 High CRI.

You're not going to get higher output without going to a larger light or lower CRI, and certainly not much higher sustained output. LED technology hasn't really advanced enough in the last six years that XHP50.2 is outclassed, and in any case you will most likely receive a light with XHP50.3 if...

We need to talk about Olight

The only 18350 lights they make are the Seeker 4 Mini and Warrior Nano.

We need to talk about Olight

If you ordered them to use with an 18350 Olight model, it's exactly what you need. Otherwise they are overpriced, and may not work in some lights due to the extra battery terminal and plastic ring.

That's for a lower CCT. WIth a 5000K HI, it's pretty close to the stock output.

I can confirm that the SC65c HI driver has been updated to add the missing comp passives. This should give a bit of an efficiency bump over original production lights, though I doubt most people will notice anything in typical usage. (reposting this because I just realized CPF's image uploader...

We need to talk about Olight

You can PM me here if you like. I mostly mod Zebralights, but I do a decent number of Olights and Armyteks as well. I can't promise any special reliability upgrades since I don't usually touch the drivers, but I've never had any major issues with Olights in general. They are certainly nicer with...

We need to talk about Olight

Olight has a lot going for it. Their lights are well made, have good drivers, interesting designs, and often come in a wide selection of colours and materials. Warranty service is generally very good. The UI is simple but effective, and many models even have a good moonlight level. Built-in...

We need to talk about Olight

This incident was caused by someone using mismatched CR123As with the light held in their mouth, not an inherent design flaw unique to Olight. The same thing has happened with Surefire and Solarforce lights, and it could happen with any 2 x CR123A light. It's wildly misleading to claim Olight...

Personally I just get the AmazonBasics made in China NiMH.
