    [New][Review] Nitecore P18 - 1x18650, tail e-switch, XHP35 HD, red mode

Incredibly well-done and thoughtful review. Thank you looking into the lockout which no other reviewer seems to have mentioned. The lack of a physical or software lockout is a deal breaker for me in a flashlight that gets this hot. Nightcore, don't forget this important feature.

New X9 - When will it be available?

I have not seen this mentioned anywhere else? Is this going to be on the official Olight US sales site?

New X9 - When will it be available?

I lost interest when they hearlded the replaceable cooling fan and then dropped it as unfeasible. Longest development time ever.

Olight, whats up with their service dept???

I'm afraid Olight warranty support has fallen into a black hole. No one answers the phone, the voicemail box is full. No one responds to emails. I have had an M30 there for repair since July and that was supposedly back in the states in November and now its apparently lost. But no one will...

Anyone see the new Olight I7R????

I can't seem to get mine to go into high on a fully-charged battery. It seems like its a standard Olight screw, unscrew interface but I can only get one mode (which seems to be low) when I do this. I'm going to pull the battery and put it on my Thrunite MCC-4 just to make sure its not a a...

Or you could do something like a 3 AA to D Adapter in Parallel and then the comparisons really get interesting.

    18650 Cell Phone Charger

I have been watching the Miller ML102 for a long time. The problem is that either because of the size of protected cells or its internals, the current version (v5?) will not work with protected cells, and that is all I buy. I'm hoping that someday the ML102 will work with protected cells, but...

NEW Fenix UC50 rechargeable flashlight(900 LUMENS)

I was thinking the same thing and also discussed here why is this really different from the RC15 (maybe a few more lumens). I don't understand the niche for this light. Without the micro USB port and tail stand capability, I do not see anything that sets it apart. Craig

    *new* Fenix UC40 rechargeable light

I have a UC40, it definitely tail stands so long as you place the rubber cover over the USB port. I like this flashlight to keep in my car and for travel as I can easily recharge it using micro USB chargers that I keep in the car and in my travel bag.

    streamlight seige lantern

That's an interesting idea. If a standard D alkaline carries 8000 mAh and the Eneloop XX AA has 2500mAh each, then three of them in parallel should get you 7500 mAh which is not a bad trade-off if my math is correct. The adapters are pricey at $14.95 each, but this may be the solution to the...

    *new* Fenix UC40 rechargeable light

I have a UC40 and the documentation indicates that it will only recharge the ARB-L1S by design. This is easy to do as the ARB-L1S has both positive and negative terminals at each end. Thus, it does not matter which end you stick into the light first. I suspect that Fenix's thinking is two...

    streamlight seige lantern

You mean like I reference in the last sentence of my original post? Like I said, why limit yourself to the capacity of 3 AAs when other lanterns start out with 4 or even 8 AAs.

    streamlight seige lantern

I also immediately wrote this lantern off due to the selection of the D cell for its power source. I'm not opening up another standby lantern just to find the alkaline D cells have leaked. Everything I have is going to low discharge NiMH or lithium. D cell NiMH are hard to find and expensive...

New Fenix RC40 - 4 Cree XM-L U2 3400 Lumens Flashlight Due Out Next Month

So long as the battery is available from the OEM (as indicated above), I really don't care whether Fenix sells it or not. I have no problem going directly to the source which are often cheaper. If Fenix gets enough requests and makes sufficient referrals on the spare battery, they are smart...

    Klarus RS80

Maybe I'll wait until they get the bugs worked out and can ship the battery with the light. I can tell, you I would not have been as understanding as you were being shipped a light without a battery pack and ending up making my own and then having the charging port fail.
