How many people still use light sticks

Doug Ritter (among others) has previously written about their shortcomings. So apart from being un-reliable as a source of light, they are also very wasteful for the environment. There are so many better alternatives such small Pak-lites, Krill Lights, Glo-toobs, or even small/mini...

    HDS Systems #23

I hate to point out the obvious here, but without the reflector, there is no way for the bezel to attach to the body. Also even if there was, the LED is deeply seated and it's position is based on a reflector being required. If used as a mule, then a lot of the lumens would be wasted hitting...

I'm vegan, and why you should be too. AMA (Ask Me Anything)

As I wrote above, please keep the focus there as it has turned into babbling chit chat, and to put if frankly it's the reason I don't normally participate in Off Topic threads. I would like this thread to stay open so that if anyone has any genuine questions I can address them. Otherwise...

    Pelican 1920 penlight wanted.

You seem desperate as you've been looking for over 6 months. However, I just checked and confirmed the latest 224 lumen model for sale and in stock on numerous big flashlight online stores, for 26 - 27 USD, with free shipping too. I'm curious as to why you don't just order from one of these...

I have no idea about Impossible Foods meat substitutes, as I've never tried any as they are NOT vegan. However I can guarantee you, all the meat substitutes I eat, contain zero chemical additives (or anything of the sort) and are low in sodium. I know as I care very much about both of these...

What light(s) is in your pocket today?

My usual EDC: - Key, with Fox 40 whistle and Fenix E01 (both been on the same Black Diamond keyring since 2011) - HDS EDC LE (250, XP-G2) (carried mostly HDS since early 2018) - Wallet (carried since 2008) - Coin wallet (carried since 2008, so not carried nasty germ covered coins in my pocket...

So if anyone is interested in going vegan, this video is THE place to start, as it's all about education. Gary is probably responsible for turning more people vegan than any other single person ever. You'll need an a spare 1 hour, but it very informative, a real eye opener. I watched it years...

    Long time Daimon fan...

I keep misreading the title of this thread as Doraemon and thinking - seriously how can anyone be a fan of a that stupid blue robotic cat. Strange/unique looking flashlights BTW, I had never heard of them before. Will have to look into them.

Boom, what you just wrote is the future for sure. Although I will stay well clear of cultured meat as, 1) it still requires the use of animals (much less of course), 2) still high in cholesterol and therefore not healthy. Plus that's assuming we as humans aren't extinct in a matter of years, as...

Novatac 120T serial 12269 pics and questions

Exactly! If they work for you that's the most important thing, and while they might not be the most efficient lights these days they still provide very useful output, more than enough for almost any task/usage. I nearly purchased an SPL-120 one recently. lol

Novatac 120T serial 12269 pics and questions

I still think that the Novatacs (along with the McGizmo McLux III PD-S) are the best looking lights ever. Certainly not the best design, but best looking. I think the best feature over the current HDS lights is that the switch was user replaceable, and I quite like how the clip could be...

    Visually impaired need bright light

Actually once more thing. I'm also going to recommend looking at Nightstick's duty lights as they are bright, rechargeable have some high-vis options, but a little less lumens. Their main feature that you may find useful is that they are dual output, a normal beam plus a downward facing flood...

Correct, broccoli is just one of many plant based foods that is high/higher in calcium than cows milk, and better absorbed too. It also happens to be one of the many 'disgusting' foods (or so I thought) that I never enjoyed prior to being vegan. Now I love it and eat it often, either steamed in...
