Ahhhh, but I actually love working with our snakes.... wouldn't want to harm them. Besides, they are only dangerous if you let them bite you, the skill is in not getting bitten :)
I manage a large venomous snake collection inside a building so I always have a flashlight in my pocket. If there is a power cut, there is back-up lighting but it isn't as bright as the main lights. I use a flashlight to look inside hide boxes to see where / what snakes are doing. I also use a...
For the last 10 years I've always had at the very least my Zebralight SC80 in my pocket and one of my Surefire 6P or 6Z to hand. Since getting into Malkoffs a few months ago I am always carrying a MD2 Hot in a Maxpedition belt pouch ... oh and a Surefire / Haley Strategic D3FT combat light...
Another vote for American brands even though I live in the UK. I've been using Surefire's for over 20 years and they are tough and reliable.
I've only got into Malkoff lights late last year, but they are awesome.
For non- American brands, I have owned Zebralights for over 10 years.... my SC80...
Not this time.... As I've only just spent $400 + on a shipment that is due to arrive this week
Plus I've just bought a .357 Chiappa Rhino so my "boys toys" fund is a little low till end of the month :ooo:
Cheers :twothumbs I studied WoodsWalker's video serval times to make sure I covered all the options (I also have some 16650 and 18350 cells).
For the last few weeks I have been testing a M61L in a MD3 body* running 2x AAA's in adapters with the Oveready sleeve..... it works well enough as a low...
Yes, brilliant youtube video that was an inspiration to me.
Yes agreed! Excellent throw... And it is worth noting that the M61T has a wider voltage range than the M61T Hot that has a max of 6 volts and is designed to run on a single 18650.
When my next Malkoff shipment arrives next week (Its...
Recently I have been buying Malkoff MD2's & MD3......
But my EDC pocket light has been my Zebralight SC80 since 2012. It is perfect at work for checking our mambas, cobras and other snakes within their hide boxes.
I also use it a lot at the shooting range to check actions are clear (I'm a NRA RCO).
The M61 HOT will certainly fit into a 16.5 mm head and works, even thought it is designed to fit the 22.3 mm head.
5001craig, Maikoff only sell the M61 T (Throw) and the M61 Hot Throw as a complete head and there is a difference between the voltage they can handle:
Hot is limited to a MAX of 6...
If it is any help, I can tell you that my M61 Hot drop-in will physically fit in a standard 16.5mm MD2 head and works. The M61 Hot is fitted as standard in the 22.3 mm head.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank Mr WoodsWalker for your fascinating Malkoff youtube videos.
I started off in November with a MD2 M61Hot, added a MD2 M61 flashlight, a spare head & M61L bought from Gene, added a collectable MD2 Camo and a MD3 body (both from ebay). Bought spacers...
