Sorry I have no idea, I'm happy with my ZL band without the top strap. Over a few years it has worn a bit so I get a backup when I placed my last Zebralight order... One of the replacements by Amytek looks like you can just clip the light in instead of pushing it through the loops but I'm not...

@markr6 That does look like a good option. And I know people rave about the Amytek headband for the Zebras. To be absolutely sure, is your top band different than this? Because the bottom buckle with the slider perpindicular to the band is the one that detaches from itself and I can wiggle it...

Did you check to see if you have the ability to remove the top band by disconnecting the band's end loop/sleeve that's attached to the middle 'bar' of the adjustment slider? That middle bar has a gap in it that you can wiggle the elastic free from and then remove the top band. Let me know if...

Oh man, I kinda cringe everytime I see pics of 8 different D4V2CXTiYZW3A's on someone's bench. I have a few, to be sure, but I have more ZL's because they all pretty much fill a different purpose, and are all much better built lights.

Tail Click Comparable to ZL SC64w?

I didn't really like side switch lights but I actually like them now. You may have tried and still don't like them, but I think Zebralights quality, UI, and efficiency is worth the switch. I now prefer to carry my side-switch lights in the palm of my hand, carrying the light near my face, and...

ZL H604d ok with protected Nitecore NL1826R with Micro-USB Charging Port?

I got over my LiIon fears long ago. You will too. And I got over the need for unprotected batteries in current Zebralights, I think you will too. (And once you do, you'll have a world of fun and inexpensive pocket rockets at your feet. Just use best practices with charging because unprotected...

    Zebralight SC5 MKII

I see a C and W version of the MKII when I search for SC5 available.

If your EDC needs aren't much past 100' or so I'd get the Fd. It's a light you really don't have to aim and provides one of the most useful beams in any flashlight for normal use. The Fd still reaches out pretty good for thing's like walking the dog in the neighborhood because it reaches out...

My 52w ran pretty cool on Eneloop. My SC5c MKII get's pretty hot on an Eneloop.

    Best AA for Travel

I always travel with my Zebralight SC5c MKII. It has a great moonlight and produces a lot of light for it's size too. For travel I've never needed to replace the battery but it's just used for basic needs and runs all night on the nightstand without issue (battery-wise.)

Recharging an Olight 16340 Built-in chargeable battery in a regular charger.

The title says it. Can I put the micro USB rechargeable 16340 battery in a regular charger like my Nitecore D2? I don't see why not, but don't need to do that today, so I thought I'd ask!

    Very small 1000L pocket rockets?

I'll second a Zebralight, and I think you'd be thrilled with an SC64w HI. It's very compact for an 18650 light, makes plenty of beautiful light, and had an amazing and programmable UI. It will pocket a lot smaller than their SC600x bodies lights. If you want even smaller, then their SC5C MKII...

    Zebralight SC700d 21700 XHP70.2 90+CRI

Well FWIW, I have owned 11 Zebralights over the last ten years or so and have never had any issues with any of them. Like many consumer product forums, the bad gets reported much more often by the very nature of forums. I'm keeping up with what definitely sounds like QC issues that should be...

https://imgur.com/a/WQZMyJW A constrictor knot with a thinner (2.5 mm or less) cord will hold well in the groove. To make it very secure put a ranger band over it. And here's an easy way to tie it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76RQyVKfOow
