Video Review: Astrolux S41 Quad Emitter 18350 flashlight

Re: Video Review: Astrolux S41 Quad Emitter 18350 flashlight - Quality Control?? What are the experiences of others with product quality? My experiences are not good. June 2017 I ordered the similar Astrolux S42 with the Nichia emitters and the 18650 tube from BangGood as part of a Budget...

    AAA clicky?

I have a DGQ stainless AAA tail clicky flashlight that I carry on a keychain. It only has 2 modes but does support 10440 cells which is sort of like 3 modes. I like it because it is rugged for keychain carry (aluminum get bet up), it is short for a tail switch light, it is slim, it is as light...

My Comparison Review of 7 single AAA Stainless/Titanum twisty flashlights

Thanks for the review. Not many of us are willing to go to the extent you did and do destructive testing. I have had mostly good results from my DGQ AAA lights. I have purchased 1 titanium and 2 stainless. My criteria were similar to yours: AAA size, non scratching (stainless or titanium)...

I have a DQG that is rated for 10440 but it did not work with an ultrafire 10440.

    EDC Pen?

I used to love Parker pens then found I love the ergonomics of the Zebra F-701 but had a problem with leaking ink cartridges. I modded several by swapping the top with the Zebra F-401 and the Fisher Space Pen refills. It requires enlarging the nib hole a little for the slightly larger diameter...

    CNQualityGoods

 Has anyone else had problems with CNQualityGoods? I won't shop there again. I ordered a Titanium DQG AAA/10440 flashlight, its stainless twin, and batteries on 10/24/14; and I started following up on 11/19/14 after being notified the shipment was returned to the seller. Still no...

    Light for ultralight backpacking

Update to my post. The L3 Illumination L08 died an untimely death. Have not had problems wi h Fenix lights other than loosing them or giving them away. I love the versatility of my Zebralight AA headlamp for many purposes & is my most versatile light. Sent from my iPad using Candlepowerforums

    L3 Illumination L10C - Nichia 219 - Breaking Easily

My AAA version of the light, the L08 with the Nichia emitter quit after about 6 months. It shorted and started heating up with an Eneloop. Sad because I otherwise liked the light. I am looking for a more durable alternative.

    The 2014 Flashaholic's "Must-Have" List

Re: The 2014 Flashaholic's "Must-Have" List -- Cast Your Vote! My my most used and therefore favorite light is my 3 month old Zebralight ZLH52w AA. For a general purpose multi-purpose compact light it is tough to beat. It works as a flashlight and headlamp. I don't need a thrower for most...

    lights you regret buying? why?

The flashlight I can't recommend is a thrower, but not in a good way . . . as is throw away. I came to the forum looking for ideas to replace a dead AAA light and saw this thread so am reporting that my L3 Illumination L08 with a Nichia 219 turned into a serious pocket heater. It wasn't on, it...

    Light for ultralight backpacking

Generally speaking headlamps are the best light for backpacking, reading in a tent, evening camp tasks, or midnight tent repairs and other two-handed jobs; but I prefer a light that multi-tasks. If you want lighter weight and more versatile light than most headlamps, I suggest a AAA light with...
