What was your first motorcycle?
Mine is a BMW R 1150 GS (like this): This is not my actual bike. The picture shows the model of 2002 or 2003. My bike is a year 2000 model. I'm looking forward to trips to southern England and maybe to Sardinia in summer. -

Best choices for 123 lights as bike lights
Got a few Twofish lockblocks some time ago in a Groupbuy. They are great! The QIII is pretty nice as a bikelight. I'm using my pimped out QIII (see sigline) and a SF G2 (RCR123 & Digilight 9V) on the handlebar, plus a PT Apex. That's enough light for my training rides.- Phreeq

Opinions wanted--Good cargo pants...???
Have a look at the Trailhikers or the even sturdier Nailhead Trailhikers from Cabela's. I got the impression that my Trailhikers last way longer than my 5.11 Tactical pants. The only thing on the Cabelas I don't like is that the flap on the cell phone/flashlight pocket is too small.- Phreeq

Sold/Expired WTB Fenix RCR123 battery tube.

PT Surge, What went wrong?
It's quite normal that incandescent lamps blow the second you turn them on and not after burning for a while. Turning on a incandescent bulb puts a lot of stress on the filament because the resistance of the filament is temperature dependant. I once did a few measurements on a Sunlux 60W...- Phreeq
