That was my question, as well. It's clear we're not fully informed, but it's providential that the OP was on the scene with his new torch. If I ever crash into a body of water in an unlit area after dark, I pray the good Lord sends me a CPF'er with a big flashlight and a mobile phone. Well, ideally a paramedic with SCUBA gear, but I'll take the CPF'er.

The car was not submerged. was parked close to my car. I found the keys under the bench in the fishing wood structure. Where the person was found is really unknown. The police never told me but i saw when they took out the person by the parking lot. I never saw anything or hear anything around the area and i was looking for gators in the water with the light. I will know more this week hopefully.

Here is where i found the keys

This thread points out that it's much better to hold a story back until all the "facts" are in and it can be presented to an audience in a good, clear format. When presented like this, it leaves much doubt and confusion.
