The BeCu are exactly $50 higher than the ti were.
I kept trying to get them down to at least the same as ti, but simply wasn't able to.

I thought the Texas Lumens lights were Tellurium Copper C145?

BeCu is definitely a lighter shade as has been shown when fresh, but patinas to about the same as copper.

Re: Beryllium Copper Executive and Rotary Anniversary Run

I still like the idea of the BeCu light. And I would be definately in with at minimum one light. I guess it will end up with two at the end... :faint: (I know me)

(yet to be announced but most likely not for at least 1-2 months from now)
Oh no not again! :( (Guess I need to synchonize my vacation with Hogo...?)
I am pretty sure that 1-2 moth are than September and I am almost 3 weeks off in September since I am in Africa, no internet, no nothing only animals and me....

Re: Beryllium Copper Executive and Rotary Anniversary Run

We have decided to put off the BeCu run for awhile.
After going through projected timelines on current and future projects, doing a BeCu run, and the timing of when they would be available, makes it... lets say, less than optimal.
We will still be doing one but it may be during the second quarter of next year. There are just some other projects that NEED to be done and come to market first.

Re: Beryllium Copper Executive and Rotary Anniversary Run

That is sad. I told all my special metal HDS lights they will get a BeCu friend soon... Now I must explain this to my lights. :nana:

But I can not wait to see the nee Projects, guess this is also amazing.

Aha...anniversary run with cheaper stuff (and easier made) should go first so no wonder it will be postponed.

Cruel and cold news! I beefed up my paypal account by selling stuff on eBay and have amassed enough to cover the cost. Now...by the time the second quarter of next year comes around that money will have burned a hole in my cyber-pocket and dry up and blow away into the cyber-abyss! But it's OK, I'll work it out.

Sweet mother of everything unholy that was a fugly thing!
It has been staked through the heart with a silver spike, burned to ash, doused with holy water, and buried deep in a shaft made for the disposal of nuclear waste.

Hmmm, a secret skunkworks development project (maybe a new rotary design?) that the BeCu will benefit from? I like the sound of this[emoji3]

That's an interesting headlamp there. I see what you guys where going for. Flood light angled down for up close work and navigation and spot beam angled foreword for distance viewing. It might be a little ugly, but it's certainly interesting. I bet when you wear it, you can't tell what it looks like, but I bet in use and practice it actually functioned pretty well... Did you guys ever take it out and field test it?

Re: Beryllium Copper Executive and Rotary Anniversary Run

Everybody likes to crap on that headlamp but I think most of us realize that early prototypes are all about function, form comes later. I bet most of our favorite flashlights or other pieces of gear started their life just as ugly, even if most of them aren't shown off publicly. If Henry is guilty of anything it's being too open about what he's working on, not making an ugly prototype. I hope it's not a dead project altogether.

Looks like a pre-sale should run on these in March.

Nice, these are still going through.

What will be the emitter options?
