For an EDC air is hard to beat the Zebralight SC63. Plenty of power and low modes. It really is a do it all light in a tiny package. It does not have tons of throw but most people don't need lots of throw for EDC. Let us know how far you need the little light to throw.

Check out the Manker T01 it's a 1x AA/NiMH/14500 and it's a thrower, good one too, and it is small and extremely pocketable, I carry it clipped to my office pants right side pocket and no one even notices it.
