ANy speculstion on the throw with the w1 led option?
The D4v2 does around 50k Candela with a high amp 18650. So far, lumen-wise the D3AA has proven roughly half as bright as the d4v2 with the same emitter setup, so I'd imagine taking in the battery limitations and being optimistic we might see like 20-30k candela from a W1 in a D3AA with throwy optic.

That's literally pure speculation though, I don't own one yet lol.

Has everyone who ordered before the 10th received their shipping confirmation yet? I've yet to receive mine and i ordered just a few hours after the D3AA went live.

I've read a couple places Hank ran out of drivers or something from there being so many orders. I would think it'll be shipping soon

Can't believe how slow the finally delivery is taking. Reached NJ Saturday. Now saying final delivery is Friday. Went from NJ, skipped my state (PA) to Ohio. I had a package arrive from Japan via DHL shipping to my house in 2 days. Un real

I really enjoy this thing!
Happy to hear
I really like your photos too

btw, you might get a kick out of this.. Anduril has a Tactical Momentary option ;-)

To enable Tactical Momentary, clic 6 times from off..
(The Aux lights will change to Blinking).

After that, pressing the button gives Momentary High Mode..

I'm gonna defend my life in a tactical situation with a complex software-operated flashlight....

I wish Anduril had a single mode feature utilized in a similar way as the momentary mode where you click it X amount of times with the light on and it locks it to the output the light was in and will only turn off and on in that output until you disconnect the battery.

Here is a way:

set Simple UI floor and ceiling to the same value.

10C from off puts the light in Simple Mode, with a single output.
10H from off switches to Advanced mode, with full range of outputs.

aux lights will give the battery status based on color
glad youre enjoying the new RGB Voltage features ;-)

Did you choose to get the magnetic tailcap? Help me decide.. lol

PSA, flat tops in a D3AA might press on some driver components

"the brass button used for the positive contact is pretty short and almost flush with some of the driver components, a flat top H10 gets pretty close to touching and if the top got dented at all it would touch"

Good call. I was a bit iffy when I was checking out the positive contact when I received my light, I though it looked close, this shot makes me wanna buy button top now just to be safe

fwiw Jackson and Hank are reportedly recommending H10 Button tops..

a dented flat top might press on one of the plastic coated components..

fwiw, H10 button tops are too long to work in a TS10. The F12 button tops do fit the TS10.

I just read a report that the USB-C 14500 that work in my TS10,

drB151Y.jpg

also work in the D3AA, even though they are protected.

the D3AA can pull up to 6A,
the Vapcel F12 1250mAh button top has a 3A discharge rate.
the H10 1000mAh has a 10A discharge capability, so would give a higher turbo.. I would opt for the higher capacity of the F12. I disable Turbo anyway. I dont expect any more than 300 lumens will be thermally sustainable in a light this size.. its more than enough for indoor distances anyway, imho

fwiw, there is a report of a difference in O ring on some early run D3AA,
in this pic we can see the O ring on the red body is quite small:
o.png

someone else posted the O ring on the black body.. seems more of a normal size..

which O ring did your light come with? ;-)

Thanks for that info. Figures I just sold my last two Vapcell F12 with a light I just sold lol. I'll probably order another set because I also don't run turbo. Luckily these are duel fuel, so for now and safety reasons imma run my enloops and see how they perform for me. So far the output is great. If the runtime is good as well I may just use those. We'll see.

My O Ring looks to be the thicker one it seems
