Anyone know, do batteries like this fit in the e2l outdoorsman body, or old school E2 body?

Anyway, I'm ALmost glad galls' latest "site wide" 20% off code didn't work. Now that I'm aware of that upcoming Yaegermeister, tactician surefire, that's all I want. I suppose the usual sf rules apply- there's a 10% chance of it actually getting released.

BTW called sf & they confirmed it's legit, they're making them, so Looks like this is actually happening now! Called the e2t tactician

Ran mine for a couple of years on two AW IMR16340, no issues. Also used Efest IMRs as well as they fit fine. When I got a couple 16650s (2000mAh Keeppower) they did fit snug so I used those, less bright but way better runtime. High mode lasted me around 4hrs before they dropped to 3.4VoltsIn terms of brightness:16340 brightestCR123 middle16650 least bright

Ordered Sanyo UR16650ZTA 2500mAh button top. If LX2 will fall back to 15/200 Lumens on 16650, I'd be happy with that.

Received the Sanyo UR16650ZTA 2500mAh button top today, unfortunately, its too tight. The flat top Sanyo UR16650ZTA 2500mAh fits but doesn't work due to the reverse battery protection on the LX2 head contact. Well, sticking to 16340 for daily use for now.

Tight through both the head and the tailcap openings?

I had to bore mine out slightly for my ur16650ztas to fit. I use the drill, quarter inch extension, duct tape, sandpaper method. If you attempt it i recommend removing the pocket clip first and do not bore the shiny polished area at the tail end of the body.

Yes, it's tight on both opening. Kind of weird actually because the flat top version slips smoothly.

Knowing my skill, I'd only end up ruining it.

You try removing the wraper?

Did it this morning and now it slides in and out smoothly on both opening. Looks like they double wrap the battery.

The Surefire LX2 Lumamax's lanyard ring and 2 way clip are both design to break away for safety reason. You can replace your lanyard ring by directly doing a paracord constrictor knot.
