How do you use your Surefire Lanyard?

Lanyards or "dummy cords" - the older posts sum up my thoughts pretty well. Out in the middle of nowhere, or anywhere other than my apartment, I'll throw a lanyard on my light, just in case. You may not drop your lights often, but Murphy decrees it will happen at the worst possible time, and in the one place it's an utter $&)*()!! to retrieve.

The snap hook makes it easy to take on and off as needed.

Interesting to me that so many people don't or rarely use lanyards. I prefer to use lanyards on my lights primarily because I'm paranoid that I'll drop them, especially if I'm taking a long walk or something. If I'm just using a light momentarily, I won't use it though.
