Makeover for Grandfather's Flashlight

Now that Christmas has come and gone, I'm pleased to report this flashlight was Mom's favorite gift, even though there was some stiff competition. It's now serving active duty on her nightstand.

This just what I have been looking for since I was able to get an old brass Eveready with a 90 degree bend in the head. This looks like a great mod but, is it reversible?

Because I used the original bulb holder, and built the heatsink onto that, it isn't really reversible for the light shown here. You may have better luck with your light. There wasn't any room for the original heatsink that I fabricated because the reflector actually sits within the stamped steel bulb holder. I also had to use a lot of thermal epoxy to ensure that the heat was sinked into the body during extended use. YMMV.
