Data, I just brought home six 12v 7ah SLA batteries from a used UPS at work. They are pretty old (9 years) but they might have enough combined juice if they are wired together.

Edit: I might be able to get 4 more if necessary.

What voltage does the tank light take, and what kind of current does it draw?

Thank you for thinking of it but they are not going to be enough power. They need to be the big car batteries to handle the 100A to 140A load.

4sevens isn't able to make it this time, but he has shipped off a box of lights to me to bring to PF. I think all the Quark mini's will be in there, and you could probably buy anything he sends at the end of PF. I don't know if he's sending brand new stock, or previously displayed items, etc.
