Re: RC40vn670 - RC40vn40 - X65vn2470 - TK75vn1670

for which flashlight?
the XHP70 is rated at 4022lm at 32w
so 24x4000 = 96000 lumens (approx.)

note that LEDs can be over driven but the heat goes up exponentially
On my! Every flashlight I own doesn't add up to 96,000 lumens collectively!

I guess you won't know the numbers until you're done but do you know the approximate lumens though?

damn - now I have to add mine up - I never thought of that before

Edit 1 - neither do mine :(

Sweet Jesus!!! And I was asking about the 28 not the 24!

now consider this 28 x 32 watts = 896w - call it 900w
divide that across 6 batteries at say 3.7v - each cell has to provide 40A
divide that across 8 batteries at say 3.7v - each cell has to provide 30A

these are NOT trivial lights to build

That sounds pretty technical, this is about how technical I get "Me like bright light!"

I wonder what the approximate cd the RC40vn770 high lumen thrower will have with XHP-70s? Originally I was imagining 500k, but with 70s and possibly 24,000 lumens I'm thinking maybe 300k to 350k lux might be more likely. Still incredible if that be the case. :) Any thoughts?

Not only are Vinh's latest "Super Lights" bright, but they are also works of art!!!

Somehow I can't get the image of frying bacon with a flashlight out of my brain. LOL

Istmichel, can you post a link that shows the wattage of each emitter type?
