Just bought a Sunwayman C10R during Going Gear's Independence Day Sale! With the sale price and CPF discount, it was a really good deal.

Xeno E03 (bought new $32), zebralight H31 (bought used $34), solarforce L2T(new $18) w/ Vihn XM-L T3 4.2A drop in (used $20).

Ideally it would be an H51 but I have yet to get to a sales thread to pick one up for under $50 before they're gone, I picked my H31 up w/o strap for $25 then got a replacement strap for $9. I'm at $105 but close enough, if I didn't buy the strap I would be at $94.

I want to give this a try, but no combination of my lights add up to be less than 100$...question is do we have to include batteries in the 100$ limit or can we spend 100$ on just the lights excluding batteries like 14500s and 18650s?

Good question. Sounds like a problem I wish I could achieve. Just say "batteries not included". lol

My three: Fenix LOD1 $35
Photon $12
Arc aaa $40

Fenix E11 $28 @ REI. Wish it had a pocket clip though.
Streamlight Night Com UV $58 @ battery junction

the E11 actually lives in my pocket all the time, true EDC. Night Com UV goes in a Surefire holster when I think I might be working on a car. Oddly, those are my two least expensive lights (not counting the 4D Mag that I've had for ages, or the Fenix something or other AAA light in my glovebox) and yet the two most likely to be on my person.

Third light? Anything else that I own would push it over the $100 mark. Would like to try a L3 Illumination L10 219 4-mode even though I know I'd hate the UI. That's another $25. So I'm $11 over budget... as per usual :)

Edit: Night Com UV is $52 at Amazon so I'm down to $5 over budget :)

I'd like to play again
With a $100 budget what would I get?

Coming in the mail is a CNQ AAA pocket light with a Black Friday coupon $25 (got it)
Next... Convoy S2 XML 18650 (similar in size to the Eagletac D25CL2) $14 (got it)
Next... Convoy C8 XML a mid sized 18650 light about the same as my TN11 $16
Next... A thrower The Defiant 3C Super Thrower could have been had at $14.97 I bought mine at $24 (got it)
Last ... A headlamp so that all bases are covered. Oh yeah at $30 or less, to stay in budget. Since I prefer 18650's over anything else, perhaps this one for $30?
UF-H3B Cree XR-E Q5 230LM Adjustable Brightness.
OTOH the $14 Rayovac indestructible headlamp 3*AAA certainly brings me in under budget. (got it)

That's five lights for less than $100 and it covers all bases from "the smallest AAA" light for pocket carry, to general usage, and a thrower, and finally a headlamp. Do I get extra points for owning half of them?

Isn't it ironic that the smallest light is the most expensive?

I picked up a SWM M11R U2 in tan last night from BJ. Got 5% off of the sale price of $48, so $45.50, shipped for free. Last month, I picked up a Fenix HL30 2AA XP-G R5 2AA headlight, which was $43 shipped, so those are just under $100. I would like the Olight i3s XP-G2 AAA light for $20 shipped, so I'd be over slightly.

This is fun, I just bought several new lights over the weekend (some would be too expensive to post here but others make the list):

Zebralight SC52w $55 at E2FG (with coupon)
EDC 18650 XM-L U2 $28 from Intl Outdoor
Cree Q5 Zoomable (new Sipik clone?) $6 on eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/111185764169)
