Re: The Lounge

Capolini just so there's no misunderstanding... here's the story. outofthedarkness was really disappointed when he heard that the TX25Cvn I bought was the last one Vinh was ever to sell. Well, I love this light, but sometimes I feel in the giving mood and I also sometimes feel kind of obnoxious for having so many awesome lights. So, when he made that thread today I knew that this light was still really on his mind, so for whatever reason I decided to let him have it. I told him in a PM that I would throw in the two new batteries I bought for it... so he's actually getting it for a couple dollars less than what I have invested in it. I've had it for less than 2 weeks.

Yes they must have changed some things because you are in fact required to purchase a "Supporter" subscription in order to list products for sale in the WTS. That's what the Level w/number below some member's username relates to. It indicates those who currently have a paid subscription.

Ok that is all. Cheers... and never doubt me again. lol
I doubt it!!

Re: The Lounge

If you have stock ui at 50*Celsius it will start to regulate it's temperature. From my own tests the light is super accurate when doing this while also heatsinking very well. When I tested the thermal regulation I measured the outside of the light at 50.7*Celsius before the button turned red signalling it reached 50*Celsius internally.

If you have the drivervnx2 version I've tested all my vn lights up to 50*Celsius and I felt it was conservative. Vinhs driver is a beast. I cannot attest to this but if I had to guess I'd bet the led's would fail first before the driver did and I think led failure is at 85*Celsius which is super hot and in an M43 the whole light would be scalding since it heatsinks the heat all over pretty efficiently.

Imo the M43 is one of those lights where if the outside of the light is 50*Celsius the driver/led is probably only a degree different due to heatsinking so well. Currently looking at the M43 stock ui manual and it can get up to 70*Celsius before telling itself to thermal regulate on ui 1. Silly hot.

Drummer, great post! Just the info I was looking for. 50C is 122F so my hands are a bit sensitive and there's more heat this light can withstand.

The quality of the M43 is why I'm pretty excited about noctigons new project slated to come out later this year and that's assuming no hiccups. Glad the info was useful :)

Yup, our dog senses things in our house.

Re: The Lounge

I'm trading in my oven for one of these.
Light up the kitchen & cook dinner at the same time. Then switch to firefly mode for a candlelight dinner!

Sounds like the start of one of those infomercials on tv

Re: The Lounge

Noctigons new light will be a very good high quality light.

I used to do night investigations with a paranormal group and one time in particular I was able to have quite the personal experience. We were in this very old church and had gone upstairs to checkout the second floor. The second floor basically has pews that are along the edge of a large rectangular opening so that people could look down into the first floor during a service. We were being very quiet and out of nowhere you could hear what sounded like someone jumping down from a pew with an audible thud for a landing and then hear very clear footsteps walk to the back of the church. It was the craziest thing I ever heard given the fact we knew nobody was down there and nobody upstairs was moving. 5 devices caught the audio. Pretty neat experience and I couldn't really debunk it. Plain as day someone walking after jumping down yet nobody there lol.

Re: The Lounge

There are so many UI i need to remember, which i will forgot..

i dont really read manual.. For mm15mbvn, you can hold down the switch from off position, it will go straight to turbo untill you release the button..

M43vn have driver vnx2. Double click always turbo...

anyway, m43vn tint is good.. Its between neutral and cool white..

[...]I used to do night investigations with a paranormal group ...

You must be kidding! Really?
I watch those types of shows all the time and totally freak myself out! My husband thinks it's hilarious that I do that to myself. I could never, in a million years, do paranormal investigation. It's so interesting to hear of someone actually doing it! Wow! Very cool.
