Re: The Lounge

Lots to catch up on,
Adam , you both are in my thoughts , have been for a long time , you always have family here if you need them. Never feel alone , so easy to say I know but we are here for you .

Newlumen ,light size I would say a medium size or as you have looked at 26650. Give some confidence and purpose when being used .
The r50 will give a useful beam to cover most uses, presuming it has burst(also a good idea) incase it is left on so its not on a crazy high output (goes for anyone new to higher powered lights). Very often the high will be more than enough and the USB charge option keeps it self contained and easy to charge .

Newlumen , the light in his ladies lives:whistle:

Me and a buddy ferry over an island to bike today. Then went home and my buddy bought a new Red Mustang GT ;-)

Re: The Lounge

It's a really neat idea that Adam, those little magnets are super strong! How are the ZL's going , have people literally seen the light and been a popular brand your way.

The Lounge

Had a great trip to the mountains - did a nice ~40mi loop with 10K ft of elevation gain/loss.
A friend left his zebra HL at a campsite on the way (we recovered it on the drive home :) ) so I loaned him my R16VN
Luckily I gave him a spare 16340 too as the light switched on in his bag of course.
He thought it would lock out with a twist like a ZL.

I will NEVER buy another light without a lock out option unless it's just a show off piece.

Can't believe so many manufacturers don't anodize their threads.

Fivemega & Shurefire hosts both do as do Zebralight which are my main lights.
So lame Solarforce don't :(
It's a real hassle to completely remove cells in the field and reinsert every time u want to use the light.
Ugh.

Anyways, rant over haha here are some pics.

Heh - no beam pics as I just had my h600w MKII which isn't too interesting ;)
We've all seen ~1000lumens @4000K in a small OP reflector - boring stuff.
I would have brought my S200Cvn but it's too heavy and doesn't have a lock out :(
I think I'll go p60 for my next pocket thrower so that I can have lockout.

This would be a cool build:

Vinh built dedomed XPG direct drive p60 PILL ONLY solder filled.

Ahorton aspheric p60 kit.

Fivemega 3p body (18350)

SwitchVN in either a Ronac Smoothie tail or Fivemega.

Double O-rings on head and tail greased with Nyogel liberally.

Small bezel ring to protect the aspheric.

I'll build this after I find a buyer for my s200cVN :)

Re: The Lounge

Also a shout out to Vinh!

I received my Seraph DHT with P60vn and also the MecArmy P18vn that I ordered. The Seraph looks pretty nice and the P18vn is a really cool light... love the looks of the body and those triples! Thanks buddy!

Re: The Lounge

I thank everyone who has given me their best wishes for my sh!tty situation. You guys really do make a difference, as I only have 2 friends other than Angela, and they work on the ferries so they are gone for weeks at a time. I have almost zero support, and my autism makes it very difficult to connect to new people that could help Angela and I.

Again, thank you all for your support, it means alot to me.

Re: The Lounge

OG asked about my hunting habit so I figured I would share. While I struck out last year the previous 7 I was able to add one each year. I love it, my wife on the other hand would burn them if she could lol. All but 1 were with a bow.

I have my eye on 2 particular deer this year on camera that are the only 2 I would pull the trigger on with a rifle but I up my standards quite a bit with a gun vs bow.
