So far so good.Any takers for a meet in Melbourne 16/17 Jan 2010?
200K of windy roads for me 3 Hrs. 10 mins. an average speed of 63KPH :shakehead doesn't sound too inviting. My vote is for North of Melbourne. Seymour or Whittlesea.
A Cook's tour of the bushfire-affected country. You'd be all depressed when you got there.Norm said:

Google map estimate. If you're averaging 63, you're going too slow!
Sounds good Andrew, any other people with suggestions?close to Camberwell Junction/Box Hill too so we can do dinner there and then drive to the park.
Suggestions ?
Hmmm, maybe I can drive down or fly down?
I'll have my DEFT by then. I also have a Modamag Tk Monster and an Arc mania X6. Those are my most interesting torches
I think I have holidays from Dec 14-Jan 14, so hopefully it will be sometime then
We need something closer to Melbourne Guys
My vote is for Westerfolds Park, it's a BIG park and it's pretty easy to get to...
About 20 minutes off the Eastern Freeway on the Bulleen Road Offramp with a high hilly position....
Quality dark is hard to find around Melbourne these days with the light pollution but this is the best large space I can think of with 24 hour access and there's Templestowe Road Shops there too...

Wattle Park wasn't that bad either and it was in Camberwell... looked pretty deserted and I remember someone brought Mac's 'Torch' and it could stretch it's legs there, close to Camberwell Junction/Box Hill too so we can do dinner there and then drive to the park.
Suggestions ?
